should kids in high school be aloud to stay home if they don't feel like going to school?

No, what kind of message does that send? Just because you don't want to do something it's ok to just skip out and be lazy and irresponsible? Not a good idea.

No, going to school is a discipline. In 'real life' you are not allowed to stay home from work just because you feel like it. As a new mom or dad the young person will not be able to take a day off from changing the baby's diaper just because they don't feel like doing it that day. Real life includes self-disclipline, which means you make yourself do things you do not want to do. If a teen is allowed to stay home from school any time he wants to - this is a very poor precedent to set!

Never !! And not just because they should be in school. Just think of the trouble they can get into.
My son's school had a good policy. If a student had perfect attendance, he didn't have to take finals. One absence and he had to take two finals, etc. It really worked. My daughters had straight A's, so when they wanted a day to go skiing, I let them, but only once. But never without parental approval!!!

Kids need their parents approval to stay home from school no matter what grade their in..

Would you like your mom to take the day off without asking you. Wanna fix yur own meals, wash your own clothes, pick up after everyone else in the house, maybe even have to get a job to supposrt her? If your answer is no , there ya go.

no. until a child becomes an adult they answer to their parents. if they need to take off from school, they need to get their parents consent.

go to school so you can learn that "aloud" means "out loud" and "allowed" means "having permission to".
