why don't i see anymore adds on Nikon d50?

I think Nikon is pushing the D40 instead and does not want to encourage any more sales of D50.

The D50 was closed out many months ago. You might stumble across a new one, but by now, most are refurbished units.

The D40 is the new entry level DSLR from Nikon.
