Yes but this is not an expected result. If you are having severe abdominal pain at this time it is important that you call your doctor AND go to the emergency room. I'm sure it could. But you also have to think about the fact that your gall bladder is gone now and your body is not filtering things like it use to so certain things that you eat can make you have severe abdominal pains also.

It is possible i guess if it is pushing into a structure in the portal area. The body is not able to exactly locate pain inside the abdomen so eventhough it feels like "stomach pain" it could be coming from a location closer to the liver/duodenum like the gall bladder.

oftentimes the clips can cause pain. Once they are removed you should feel much better. I recommend you speak to the surgeon as soon as possible about what is going on with your condition. There may be something that can be done to help you now.
