I'm 16 yrs old male weight 175 height 65". I have been trying to loss weight, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it the wright way I have a membership at a health club, and I need suggestions on what to eat, and what type of workout to do?

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

They should be able to answer any questions you have at the health club. If it's genetic, your going to have to work extra hard to lose it. Swimming is good exercise as is racquetball. Weight training will also help you lose weight faster. As for diet, you will need to cut out breads and sugars. There are now lots of foods made with Splenda which taste pretty much like sugar. Drink lots of water and don't eat three hours before you go to bed. Good luck.

First, talk with your doctor. Your weight sounds about right to me. The health club you belong to should have a trainer that could help with the type of workouts that would be best for you.

beware of fat free or zero trans fats foods as you could be trading fats for huge amounts of sugar or sodium
