No. Unfortunately the caffiene in coffee will only serve to make you jittery on top of feeling tired. If you are on vicadin, it is probably because you need to be resting... your body's pain is a signal to slow down. Vicadin blocks that pain but you are still reminded that your body needs time to recouporate... be good to yourself and take it easy for a little while... good luck, feel better soon!

Have you actually taken the vicodin yet? When I have taken it in the past it has made me hyper. It does have an opposite effect on some people. But, if it does make you tired, you can drink coffee and it will not effect how the drug helps you.

Vicodine does not "knock you out" unless there something wrong. You may be intolerant to it, let your doctor know, you may have to be put on something else. I am on a controlled pain program for disabled and have been taking Vicodin for years, if taken right, there should be no problem unless it's misused, or you have a problem.

Coffee will not help. If Vicodin knocks you out you need to call your doc and let him know. Vicodin should NOT know you out and if does this means you should not be taking this drug. Call your doc to let him know so he can prescribe something else for your pain. Your doc has NO CLUE you are having side effects from the med if YOU DON"T CALL AND TELL HIM!!!

no it will be fine. I have to take the same pain medicine and still have alot of caffeine. My doctor just doesnt like the sugar in mountain dew and is trying to get me to drink plain green tea. So she knows about the caffeine and doesnt have an issue either.

You need to check and see if you can mix caffeine with this drug, ask your doctor or look it up online.
