It seems that lateley, that when someone resigns from their job, that employers are just walking the employee out right away.
They pay you for time worked, but thats it. No matter if you give 2 weeks or not.
So if this is you, be prepared not to have any monies till you start working at your next job.

Just dont quit until, the day before you start your new job. If they fire you they want give you a notice.

When you are not leaving on the best of terms, or work with the company accounts, clients, or especially money, they are worried that you may do something to sabotage them before you leave. This has been a common practice since I have been in the workforce, over twenty years.

When employees have access to highly confidential information, do you blame the employer for asking them to leave. I would do the same.

My advice to anyone considering leaving their job to find a new one first. But I thought that was common sense.

Yes, I have heard of this happening. They also sometimes treat you very poorly during your 2 weeks notice period.

Just be forewarned.
