I don't feel that you are doing anything wrong. Ministers and Pastors learn about many other religions when they go to ministry school. It helps to understand how they differ or relate to your own Christian religion, and helps to see possibly where other people who are not Christians are coming from. I have explored other religions but I never stopped believing in Jesus above everything else, and never worshipped any other gods from other religions. Some "religions" such as Buddhism and Zen are not so much religion as a "way of life". Sounds like you are going through the same thing. Just pray for strength in your Christian faith, pray for God to keep you strong and keep the devil away from you as you learn about other religions. I will say a little prayer for you. Keep your chin up, and God Bless You.

I don't think you're sinning. We don't live in a world where only Christianity makes any sense, and every other religion is completely wrong. There are good parts to most religions (even if they aren't 100% good).
As I Christian, I believe that Christianity gives us the clearest picture of God, but I also think other religions also have some validity. I won't stop being a Christian, but I think learning about other religions helps me understand and appreciate my own religion even more.

Well theres nothing wrong w/looking for truth. The Bible even says.."Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world." 1John 4:1...Your right in not looking at Buddha as a God, it is an idol, & Muhammad was just that, a man...I study w/Jehovahs Witnesses because I have found that they follow what the Bible says, they dont bow down to Idols or a man...you should ask for a copy of "What Does the Bible Really Teach", it is an awesome book, really easy to understand, & it shows you exactly whats in the Bible in a way you can understand it....just find a Jehovahs Witness & they would be more than happy to give you a free book. And no they wont try to convert you, that is a big misconception about them...trust me, I know.

There is only ONE living god . Other religions worship an image or idol. Satan will do anything to keep a true Christians mind in distress....to keep you from maturing as a Christian or letting your life be a witness for Christ. Stay strong and read the Bible for your answers. There are many internet tools and study Bibles to help guide you to what you want to know. But most and foremost PRAY for help and guidance.

Yes those apples do look very tasty don't they? But there is only 1 God and that is the Holy Triune God. All the real power comes from Him. He gives us power and authority and if we are stupid enough we give those false Gods our power and authority exactly like Eve in the Garden of Eden. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

Contrary to popular belief, having an open mind is not a sin. God wants you to follow him out of your own free will. If this means you have to explore other things, then that's okay. Always remember that you don't have to be involved in mainstream Christianity to be a follower of Jesus and an example of his love. You are responsible for your own relationship with God ... something that is between you and him. NO ONE ELSE HAS THE RIGHT TO MANDATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.
I think that there is some amount of truth in all religions. There's nothing wrong with discovering ideas that you relate to and applying them to your life and your walk with God.

I studied with a wonderful pastor in 1977, who was the first person to show me how the BIBLE explains itself.. Pastor Williams also told me once about how our government has an office that identifies counterfeit money. He explained to me that the way they knew a counterfeit was by studying the original. they did not study others, they identified them by studying the original.. so you are looking at the counterfeit without knowing the original.. My advice to you is study the WORD OF GOD for yourself, and do not depend on someone to explain it to you..that way you will be a counterfeit expert. and if u need a guide email me and I will tell you on the net where to go.

It is not a "sin" to learn of other religions. The message Jesus preached echos in many other lines of religious and moral thought.

just for the record Buddhism dose not teach that Buddha is a God.
They see him as a great spiritual leader and guide, but not divine.
Also why is it sinning for you to educate yourself? When was knowledge a bad thing? Keep learning and believe what you want to believe.
