obviously you eat way more than "regular", and it is what got you fat to begin with. Forget "regular" eating. Go back to the diet you were on, lose the weight you've regained, once you have done that, add no more than 250 calories a day to maintain the weight you achieve.

Hi Kadian. It looks here like this is any dieters worst nightmare. But dont worry about it. You lost all that weight over the two years 20lbs is nothing. You have to take into account if your body is storing any water if you cant use the washroom all play effects on your weight. What sucks is that some people including myself store fat more. Sometimes eating the way you did while dieting is the only way you will keep a steady weight. Me personly I body build so I have to keep the same weight at times so it almost involves dieting all year round which isnt fun. My advice for you is if you want to diet exercise and loose the twenty lbs get back to where you were. The way i do it is cause i diet all year round on my non exercise days which is two days i eat what i want "cheat days" then the rest of the week when i work out i diet. Another approach is after you put off the weight is add some more callories to what you consider "eating normal" and monitor your weight carefully so you can add or reduce your calorie intake to meet your needs. A journal usualy helps with the protein, carbs, fats and calories of each meal so you can figure out what your doing wrong. If you do the journal while dieting is best so when your ready to stop loosing weight adding calories will be alot easier cause u know where your at. Basically weight gain is your taking in more calories than your using so limit them. Its really simple. If you have any questions or suggestions on what to do you can feel free to email me. Love to help. This is my oppion it is best to consult with a doctor before starting any diet, exercise or supplement plan. Best of luck to you.

Your body finally rebelled. You were probably doing too much calorie restriction and your body adapted and now you are gaining. You may have to increase your activity for the next few weeks. Go to http://www.mypyramid.gov and put in your height, the WEIGHT you want to be, gender and activity level- it will tell you what you should be eating daily and weekly. Follow it - thats your plan for the rest of your healthy life.
Sugar busters is nonsense- I weigh 115 and I eat potatoes everyday. Atkins is nonsense I love a frozen waffle for breakfast. It seems that not a hour goes by without someone on here wanting to: lose a large amount of weight in a short time, not change their lifestyle, want a magic remedy, want to know if different diets have magical effects. There are some people on here giving VERY BAD and even dangerous advice. When you point that out to some people they get angry. There is lots of good advice out there but people try to latch onto the bad.

You cannot just lose weight and then go back to your old eating habits. How do you think you got big in the first place? You have to eat with moderation, dont flat out diet for the rest of you life, but continue to watch what you eat and your portions. Have one cheat day a week or a month, which ever you feel comfortable. You will get it back down, just watch it.

"i really dont an to be fat"
What's that?
So, you have been on a diet for 2 years. Suddenly, you start eating TOO much and eating CRAP again and have put on 20 lbs. in two weeks. That is a LOT of eating. Why would you cram yourself so full of garbage?
Obviously the answer is to stop doing it.
Sounds to me as though you need help. Contact Overeaters Anonymous:

What foods did you cut out of your diet to lose weight? Maybe when your body had those foods again, such as starches from potatoes or rice and pasta, it wasn't used to those foods anymore, and retained as much as it could as fat.
But if you gained 20 pounds in 2 weeks, you may be eating some foods that are bad for you such as fried foods or potatoes.
Have you tried the Sugar Busters Diet? I had a lot of success with that. Cut out the sugar from your diet, along with carrots, corn, potatoes, and bananas since they have a high Glycemic Index. High Glycemic foods such as the ones I listed, need lots of insulin to digest. What you don't burn as energy, you store as fat. Eat whole wheat pasta and brown rice, and you'll lose some of that weight.

That is a massive amount of weight to gain in two weeks. Seek medical help immediately. It is not normal to pack on 20 pounds in a two week period with normal eating. Your physician can check you out and find out what's going on inside of you.

well when you diet and then eat like a hippo, what do you expect? your body is not used to burning that many calories. 20 pounds in 2 weeks is almost impossible unless your eating like mcdonalds every meal and your a fourth mealer. even then 20 pounds is unbelievable, unless you havnt taken a dump in those 2 weeks also

i think your best bet is to check out your caloric intake... see how much you normally take in (an average really-no one eats the same thing everyday). see what this number is. then tweek that, maybe knock out a few hundred calories, depending.. thats really the best way to keep the weight off. well, that and exercise, which is good for you in so many ways already.. hope that helps..
