200-250 at 15 years old seems like a bit more than baby fat. You are at a good age to slim down - way easier to do it now than wait for your 20's or 30's.
Vegetables (steamed), chicken, fish, water, water, and more water.
Try to stay away from anything fried, butter, soda pop, and anything that comes from a place where they always ask, "would you like fries with that?"
If you think avoiding fast food will be tough for you - find and watch the documentary "Super Size Me" - that will put you off fast food for the rest of your life - I have not had a big mac since I watched it - and I adore big macs.
As for exercise - start with walking, if you have a dog take him - after a while that dog will not ever let you forget it's time for the walk. (ours starts looking at the leash and getting fidgety around 4:00 every afternoon) Set a reasonable distance goal and extend it every week. As the walking gets easier up your pace, or even try running. (but not right away - give your body some time to get used to the activity.) Leg weights can also help (the kind that strap around your ankles)
Important: Always make sure you are eating enough - not eating slows your metabolism and thus slows weight loss.
Don't push yourself to hard with exercise - if you hurt yourself and can't do much of anything it is discouraging and can derail all your good intentions.

Well will start off by saying that it isn't baby fat. You need to get control of this issue now. First the basis behind losing weight is to take in less calories than your body uses. If you can eliminate 500 calories a day(either by eating less or working it out) you will lose 1 pound a week. So eat sensible and try to get at least 45 minutes of cardio 5-7 times a week and you will be on your way. Also another thing is that this MUST be a lifestyle change not a diet. These are healthy habits you must use for your entire life. I wish you the best of luck because I know it is so difficult.

We had the same problem with my brother . First step away fro the soda can...if you are drinking it..Eat healthy snack on fruit and veggies throughout the day DO NOT starve yourself then your body will try to store fat But most of all remember it takes time to lose weight you will hit plateaus and sometime feel like it isn't working but eat right and exercise and it will. Go to your school and talk to a coach about summer time weight training..Even if you dint like football the coaches may still be able to help you

baby fat goes away by the time you are five years old, what you have is good old fat. you have it because you eat too much and are not active enough, plain and simple. take up jogging, swimming biking and do one of those every single day for at least an hour. No days off, make it a life time habit, then stop putting so much food in your mouth, no fried food at all, no processed foods, eat alot of fresh vegetables and some fruit, limit meat intake to three ounces (the size of a deck of cards) in a day. you do that now while you are young and you can change your obesity for life, yes, you are obese, and if you don't change it, you will eventually die from it.

If you haven't been doing anything physical, start with a half hour every other day (cardio... walking(fast), bicycling, elliptical, etc.). After a couple weeks, make it 45 minutes every other day. Then an hour 3-4 times per week. If you can get to an hour every day, without impacting the rest of your personal life, go for it. It's going to hurt at first. But the more you do, the better you'll feel... both physically and mentally. With the momentum behind you, you won't want to return to your current situation.
Good Luck!

Go to the doctor and ask him what you should do.. he will give you the best answer because he knows your physical capability it will be a combination of exercise and diet.. and give you a number of calories to intake everyday maybe even keep a journal of what you eat. My guy says that a journal helped him a lot realize how much he was eating each day.
My godson who is 9 years old was also getting heavy and the journal helped him make better food choices without totally eliminating the foods he liked to eat and got him outside and away from the computer!

Cardio, cardio, Cardio as much as you hate that word it has to be done! Wake up every morning to Cardio at least 30 minutes and cut out all sugar from your diet, no soda pop, no bread, no Cheese, nothing but Chicken, turkey, Tuna, and water or sugarless Kool Aid. Sugar spokes your insuline levels and makes your body store fat. Good luck, I used to be a porker too but it took work and sweat, and it came off. Lay off the scale too, use a tape measure instead, a scale weight muscle too which weighs more than fat.

u need a professional to go through what u eat n drink. What you will need to do is watch each and every thing that you eat.
Ask yourself... are you ready to lose this weight?
If you are ready... then ask your parents to get u professional help. Because its good if u realise at this age to lose the so called baby fat!!..

hey the best way i can think of to lose weight is to go running. every single day. do it in the morning right after you get up and before breakfast. don't worry so much about what you eat, except for no junk food and eat 3 balanced meals a day. no huge portions, and don't skip meals. i did that when i was in the Army and I was in the best shape of my life.
