try removing fuse marked DRL. while this deactivates the daytime lamps they will still come on automatically when the key is on and the headlamps switch is in the on position. [this saves the battery while in the service bay] and can give the owner the option of a normal or automatic system.[all lamps will go out when headlamps are turned on and key is turned off] or the option of just running lamps in the middle position[note the running lamps will stay on with key off if this position is selected] some variations in wiring for different countries probably occurs

Aren't all the volvo cars fitted with automatic headlights?
They come on at dusk or on dark days.

I managed to get a new relay for my SAAB that came with auto-on headlights to change it to "normal" setting.
However why bother, apart from all the boring farts flashing at you...... in countries where the lights are compulsory there are up to 10% less accidents.

It sounds like only one is on ? If this is the case make sure your indicator arm is off when your parked, this is common place with most cars...
