It really depends on your age and other experiences. Many jobs have transferable skills that may assist you in the future and letting a prospective employer see these may help. If you are new in the job market and have only worked menial jobs before, it might be o.k. to skip. However, when I review resumes, one of the things I look for is a consistent work history. If you got out of school 3 years ago and only list 1 year worth of employment, I wonder why you omitted this info.: in jail, military, watching tv? Give your prospective employer a balanced view of your skills. Good Luck!

Last job, most details, the less recent, the fewer details are needed.
Most recent, co, title, desctription,
10 years ago, name of co, and title is adequate.
If you were "between jobs" and did some temp work, don't bother. It just clutters up your resume.
HINT" You might want to pay a visit to a bookstore, Barnes & Noble, etc go to the business section, and invest in a good bookon resumes. it'll set you back $ 25.00 or so, but if it gets you the job you want, it would be an excellent investment in yourself.

I think it's ok...I've done that with my resume. Currently, I work as a paralegal. Prior to working as a paralegal, I was an office administrator for a real estate company, which I listed on my resume b/c both jobs are office/professional/computers required, etc. Prior to working with the real estate company, I worked in a restaraunt (Cold Stone Creamy) so I didn't list it on my resume b/c it was like a high school job, and wasn't related to what I wanted to do career-wise. I still used my bosses at Cold Stone as references, because they could give reference on my ability to work with others, and with customers. Good luck with the resume!

For the non-relevant employment I would likely put 1 line per employer with a timeline and a very brief description

Put the most valuable expierence you have and stream like your other jobs. If you have accounting type and managment type expierence list them that is very universal and applicable to any job you are applying for.

i might put in everthing... whether its no longer proper to the job, it's going to stll teach what you recognize and what you discovered to do. So does no longer an organization be happy to be sure which you have have been given performed extra advantageous than in straight forward terms some. I propose it might teach them which you have an open strategies to studying new skills...
