To enjoy the most at once, try a Long Island Ice Tea or a Long Beach. Mix equal parts of vodka, gin, triple sec, tequila, and rum. For a LIT, add sweet and sour and coke. For a long beach add, sweet and sour and cranberry. Or, get crazy and add sweet and sour and blue cauraco (tha's a blue motorcycle).

If you are drinking a high quality, top shelf spirit, most people will argue that solo is best, simply enjoy it on the rocks.

Brandy is always great for making sangria (Mix your favorite wine with a flavored brandy, add your favorite fruit juice and some fresh sliced fruit).

Gin and vodka are great for martini's.

Whiskey is...well whiskey...and I find to be an aquired taste. Although an old-fashion is quite good. Muddle sugar, orange slice, and bitters in a glass. Add ice and either bourbon or whiskey, sweet vermouth and a dash a cherry juice.

I could go on for days...Instead I think I'll go have a cocktail.

For gin, I prefer gin & tonic, but only if it's Tanguaray.

For vodka, I prefer an extra dry martini or a cosmopolitan. Again, I have brand preference. I like Grey Goose.

For whiskey, I like Bushmill's straight up, chilled. Or Jameson on ice. Another way to enjoy whiskey is in Irish coffee. There are specific glasses you must use to make Irish coffee. You put 1 teaspoon of sugar in the bottom of the glass. Add 1 to 1.5 ounces of Jameson and stir. Add decaf coffee, leaving almost an inch at the top. Float fresh whipped cream on top. Yummy!

Duni, you need to go out with a friend who also needs an education and sample. Go to a bar with a friendly bartender and have a drink or two each time you go. You need to find out what you like by trying each liquor, sipping it neat (straight) then trying it with mixers.
Find out what you like by finding out what you like!
