I routinely book 98% of my flights through either expedia.com or travelocity.com. Both are excellent sites that aggrigate fares & schedules. The only negative is that they don't carry some regional airlines like southwest, jetblue, frontier & spirit. ( all of which usually have very inexpensive air travel ) For those, I just go direct to their websites & book.

ps. Hotels.com is a great site for hotel stays.

Travelocity is alright, I didn't have any problems. I prefer Orbitz though, just was easier to use their website.

Ive never actually booked one but had been watchign for a trip we intend to take next month. I found that they were not necessarily the cheapest. Try www.kayak.com It compares a bunch of places from one webpage.
