u can't do it in a healthy and/or sustainable way. it's dangerous. besides cutting off your stomach with something, the only way to do it is to start running. i weigh 21 stone and it's a sod to do, but I lose about half a stone every fortnight just going for a 2.5 mile run and just eating healthily.

Hi!
I think it is impossible to lose 40 pounds in 2 months... but...

Well I wont matter how much you run, exercise if you eat a LOT! There is for sure something wrong, if you lost only 15 pounds in 6 months, I am in a very STRONG diet for 1 month and I lost 12 pounds already!
What I did and do is, I found out how much a woman with my age, weight and hight needs to eat everyday to keep my organism working, and I took 400 calories from it! So instead of eating 1200 calories I eat around 800 calories every day. I run 2 to 4 miles everyday. I do some sit ups and other exercise to shape some parts of my body!

My tip is, first lose some fat in your stomach to start to do a lot sit ups...
Arms, you will have to do specific exercise to your arms and legs... running will help you with your legs...
And you will lose fat in your face as soon as you start losing a lot of weight!
Drink a lot of water, not at once!!
I know people say to eat every 3 hours, but that DOESNOT work with me. I eat an yogurt (60 calories) or cereal (120 calories) in the morning. Salad(not with those fatty dressing), I put some lime, salt and pepper in it and grilled chicken. Fruits (strawberries are great, you can eat almost 10 and there is only 40 calories in it total). At night I either eat egg (just the white part with tuna) or salada with meat.

After starting eating much less, your work out will help you lose more and more weight!!!!

I hope I helped you
Good luck!

There is no way to target specific areas of fat. Fat is stored fuel, no more, no less. It comes off more or less evenly when you create a calorie deficit, i.e., eat less thany your body needs to function.

15 pounds over 6 months is reasonable weight loss.

The situps are a good thing to do, but all they do is strengthen your stomach muscles. They don't burn a lot of calories, so don't have much impact on your weight. You ought to consider working on some other muscle groups as well.

The walking is a good thing, and if you do the math, you'll see that you're getting exactly what you would expect from the exercise. Figure 1 mile consumes 100 calories, and 3500 calories = 1 pound of fat, then the walking accounts for about one pound every 12 days. Extend that, and 15 pounds comes off in 6 months. That's how it works.

If you wish to accelerate the process a bit, run instead of walk, extend the distance, or add in some other things like cycling or swimming.

You're making good progress. It doesn't happen overnight despite what you see on all the goofy weight loss gadget and diet commercials.

I had much the same issue with price. I also figured that sooner than later, it would finish up as a very expensive clothes hanger.

A couple of years ago a friend that I hadn't seen in a while had lost a considerable amount of weight and absolutely just glowed. Her skin and hair looked healthy when I would have expected to see some dryness and sagging from that much weight loss.

She had bought a rebounder (mini-trampoline), kept it in her office as she has work from home business and would get on it at 30 minute or so intervals for anywhere from 3 minutes to 15 minutes, depending on her schedule. On days that she couldn't or didn't get on it that often, she would make time for a single 20 minute session using rebound exercise videos for different moves. I was concerned that it would only exercise the lower part of the body, but it is actually very much a whole body process.

She looks and feels fabulous and the rebounder is still in her office and very much a part of her daily routine. She bought the one that folds in half so she can store it in the closet if necessary, or under a bed.

After seeing how much her health had improved, I bought one as well. While not as diligent as she is (yet) I have definitely lost weight and my legs, buttocks and back have really begun to show some definition. I also have a good bit more energy. I have noticed that if I miss a day or so, my energy levels flag. My intention is to rebound daily. I bought mine at Rebound to Health.

It cost about $200 but is commercial quality and I fully expect it to last me for many years to come.

As for the face, there are many facial exercises that you can do that firm that face in a matter of weeks. Just do a quick search on Google or Yahoo for facial exercises. You will need to be faithful about doing them, but I promise that you will see results if you do them at least five days a week.

Hope this helps!

I can see the problem immediately. For one your body is too accustomed to your regimen. You need change, especially in your cardio. Walking is great, but unless you have a heart that reaches 65%-85% maximum, then it isn't going to get you anywhere, any faster. Plus how do you eat? Are you eating 3 square meals, or 4-6 small portion size meals, with lean protein, fibrous carbs, and all natural ingredients. Do you weight lift and do resistance training? Do you stop eating 3-4 hours prior to bed? Try to incorporate these steps into your regimen, and I can guarantee you will drop inches babe, and as for abs, try different workouts, and even work on the obliques. Key is to shock your metabolism to avoid a plateau. And if you are a women, pick up an Oxygen mag, they will have a lot of useful information as well, even workouts you can do at home. Or try doing a taebo tape. But change it up, it becomes more fun that way too. And drink plenty of water, try to reach at least 8-8oz servings.( 64oz). that is huge.

Simply you have to take in less calories and do more activities.

It seems that not a hour goes by without someone on here wanting to: lose a large amount of weight in a short time, not change their lifestyle, want a magic remedy, want to know if different diets have magical effects. There are some people on here giving VERY BAD and even dangerous advice. When you point that out to some people they get angry. There is lots of good advice out there but people try to latch onto the bad. All of these people asking questions already have very good sources for answers to the questions they are asking. But its' not what they want to hear.

There IS NO MAGIC in weight loss.

If you are not sure how to determine the truth of a claim, here are some tips to help you separate the good from the bad:
• If a diet, product, or program promises dramatic results in a short time without your needing to change your eating habits or lifestyle choices, the claims are probably false. We know that in order to see lasting results, we must adopt long-term lifestyle modifications, including healthy nutrition habits and physical exercise. There is no magic bullet that will make you healthier overnight. Slim people don’t have magic, they just have a good lifestyle.
• Be wary of claims that a specific product will increase health or speed up metabolism and so result in rapid weight loss. There is currently no research indicating that over-the-counter diet products can bring about major weight loss. In some cases, these supplements and drugs have turned out to be harmful.
• Avoid products that use testimonials — either from celebrities or from regular folks — instead of scientific evidence to back up their claims.
• Consider the source. If information about a product or diet is coming from the manufacturer, sales person, or someone getting benefit, and not an independent source, then the information is likely to be biased in order to make it sound more appealing to potential buyers.
Remember: There is no revolutionary new product that is going to help you get and stay healthy.

Instead of spending your hard-earned cash on unproven claims, or a dangerous “diet” that may ruin your health or make it harder for you to lose weight in the long run, spend some time learning about the simple ingredients of a healthy lifestyle: eat a balanced diet that's low in fat and exercise regularly.

Start by taking this metabolic profile test and follow the 10 simple rules of low glycemic eating.

Number two, get rid of your scale. When you work out on a regular basis, the scale is not measuring lean muscle and bone weight gain which is very good for you by the way.

The light and fluffy stuff melts off when eating according to your metabolism, so use a tape measure and the way clothes fit on you.

i agree that it doesn't happen overnight. It took me 8 months to loose 10 pounds but I did it with changing my diet and daily routine only. If you're building muscle, you may not see a decrease in weight. it takes time. don't hurt yourself trying to slim down. Good health comes before slender curves and bulging biceps!!!!!!!! Taking small walks may increase your metabolism and is probably not a grueling as those workouts. If you have the room, caring for a garden and just plain old yard work may be a good solution.
