people that block the isles

It is annoying but as both a cashier and a consumer I'm far more annoyed by extremely slow customers who hold up a long line. You know the ones...they wait until they hear the total then slowly unzip the large purse, fish around for the ...you guessed it-checkbook. "Now how much is that again?" Slowly write out the check then rip it ever so carefully befor holding it up to make sure its right. "That was twenty dollars and 5 cents, right?" Yes mam. Examine the receipt carefully and then put everything back into the purse slowly. Thing is they cant see all the rolling eyes and fidgety people behind them but the cashier can and its unnerving.

I never EVER go to the grocery store hungry because then I end up buying a ridiculous amount of food I don't want or need! Mostly junk food and nothing substantial. So now I make sure I eat before I enter a grocery store!

My biggest pet peeve is when the bagger puts too many groceries in one bag or just doesnt bag right. I dont want my things squished, falling out, or the bag breaking.
Drives me crazy. Sometimes I have to rearrange a few items at the car.

Standing in line behind some nitwit who is noatch t buying groceries, he is there to play numbers. He is not playing numbers for himself, he has a 4 page long list of numbers he is playing for 200 other people.

Then you have the people who buy a scratch tickets, and rather than step aside, take up the entire counter space scratching their tickets while the clerk and any customers in line have to stand there with their thumb up their *** while this shithead scratches his tickets.

And 9 times out of 10, if the shithead wins anything he will take his winnings in more scratch tickets and the cycle repeats. PS...this usually happens when I'm on my lunch hour and need to get back to work.

When people don't realize that pushing a cart in grocery store is like driving a car. Stay to the right, watch where you're going and no one gets hurt!

People who leave their cart blocking the entire asile and walk away to get something.

And old men who use the spot reserved for pregnant women to sit in their car and wait for their wives to come out of the store.
(I wanted to bash some geezer's windows in once when I had to park all the way at the back of the lot in freezing rain while 8 months pregnant - and to have to walk past the car and see him sitting in it is utterly infuriating!)

Oh, and I hate it when people let fruit or veggies fall on the floor and they roll around and people step & slip on them. Just pick it up if you knock it down!! (Nearly had a bad accident with a grape once.)

People with more than 12 items (like half a cart load) that get into the express checkout lane

2007-05-30 06:50:14 · answer #8 · answered by Jean S 4 · 2 0

When something is spilled in the aisle and I slip and fall on it.
(happened twice in the last year at Kroger owned stores and when I told management about it their response was "ok, thanks")

Also, people who have no idea what they're doing who use the self-check lane when it's really busy.

And, people who are too freaking lazy to put the carts in the cart corrals.

People that put their trolleys in the middle of the aisle and block the way. There is such a thing as shopping etiquette and that is to make sure you make way and park your trolley in a way that is not troublesome to other shoppers.

I hate people that will not get out of your way even when you ask over and over. I hate the fact that cashiers pay no attention to you but talk on the phone or to someone else. i hate peole that tell you not to shop with your kids to get a nanny but my kids like to pick out their fruit for the week
