I've gained a lot of weight and it seems that most of it has gone to my breasts. I seem to remember that someone told me that there are excercises that will help me in that area and make me more perky. Is this even true?

Also, if its any help, I'm thinking that the name of the excercise is butterfly curls.

The woman who answered first is correct. You can build the muscles UNDER the breasts (the pectorals) but cannot "firm" the fatty breast tissue itself. (There are no exercises for fat.) That said, neither pull-ups nor push-ups will do that much for your "pecs", as they work primarily the chest, lats, and arms, both biceps and triceps. Seated lifts of free weights (military press) will help but again that works primarily your top line (shoulders.) Try anything that isolates the pectoral musvles: flat-back bar lifts (chest press), butterfly curls, etc. using either free weights (if you know how to use them safely) or the machines designed for that specific body part at your gym. Most gym machines have diagrams on the showing how the machine is to be used and what specific part the machine works while in use. Probably the best thing you can do to make them more "perky" is to lose weight and the attendant excess fatty tissue. Bear in mind also that as we age our body naturally loses some of its youthful resiliency, and that rapid weight gain/loss cycles will speed that process. Good luck!

Holding the barbell - or dumbbells of equal weight in each hand - SLOWLY raise your hands to the shoulders. Make certain that the amount of weight you're using is comfortable and doesn't force you to "strain" bringing it up to your shoulders. Do 10-15 repetitions; rest a couple of minutes; then do another set of an equal amount of reps. Stop if this is your first time. Wait 24 hours or so and then do three sets of repetitions. Wait another 24 hours and then add a fourth set. After achieving the tone you desire, drop 5 pounds from your top weight and add an extra set of reps to the number with which you finished. This will keep your breasts firm and "perky" for a long time to come.

you can do butterflies to tone the muscles under your breasts, but breasts themselves are fatty tissue, there is no making them anything with exercise.
