no offense but get a life. i mean if you dont believe in God, ok, good for you, thats your choice, and if you do thats cool too. dont get all worked up over the internet; its not worth getting your blood pressure all boiled up, cause its not like youre going to change eachothers minds.

Jeannette,

I'm playing armchair psychologist here, but I think that a lot of people actually enjoy "getting their blood pressure all boiled up," especially if they righteously can get their message out there for all to see.

It seems to me that some people have a need for power that they've been unable to obtain out in the "real world," so by ranting and raving about what is "true," they feel like somehow they've lifted themselves up and proven their point. It's in writing for all the world to see, so therefore, it IS. So there. Done. Neener neener.

But hey, better to have them rant here, than have 'em take it out on some unsuspecting store clerk, co-passenger on an airplane, or, worse yet, the family dog!!

Hopefully some minds can be changed. But to answer your question, some are so unstable in their beliefs that they bash others just for fun. They like to see just how mad then can make some people. They will have their reward. Some, are honestly seeking answers. I really hate to see some of the answers that might hurt or sway a person, young in the spirit. The Bible says that it would be better that a millstone was tied around their neck and they be cast into the sea, than to mislead the little ones.

I think it's a release for some people. They say things that they wouldn't dare say in person. I also think that everyone needs to get things off their chest.
Many people have been hurt by the "religious" community (myself included) and are angry about having part of their life taken away by being forced to believe.
Then there are the Christians who feel it is their job to "save" others and they do so by trying to convince the Atheists that god exists.
Basically, it's a never ending battle.

Religions have been bashing each other since their inceptions. It is only relatively recently that people could even admit to NOT believing without being burned at the stake, or suffering some other unpleasant punishment. It is hardly surprising therefore, that we want to join in the debates.

LOL you're right....I don't like when people come on here and try to change people's beliefs. If you don't believe in God then you don't believe but don't obligate others to agree-not going to work....everyone has their own opinions especially when it comes to religion and it should be respected.
Cheers*

So your bashing other people directly is better? ("get a life") Why do people come here just to whine about the actions of others on this forum? Some people will be stupid. Don't get all worked up about it.

If you're a Christian, you're going to be getting it for the rest of your life. I see the internet as a good way to share my beleifs with others :)
No, not try to push it on them, just stand up for what I beleive in and tell them what I beleive if they ask. I often get bashed for it, but these kind of things you just have to endure as a beleiver. It's not really ever going to stop.

Some people can't accept that there is more than one path to the Divine.

Other people are just stupid and have nothing better to do with there time, but then again everyone responds so it just gives fuel to the fire.

I agree. If you want to present your argument, then state what you believe is fact, and don't criticize or say mean things to someone of a different belief.
