I'm sure an example of the liberation of Nazi Germany is worth over $10,000. If your grandfather is still alive, maybe you should talk to him before you sell a piece of history to make a little extra scratch.

Are you an American?? if so how did your Grandfather get his hands on a Nazi Flag back in 1941? The USA did not enter the war until after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour in December 1941!!
And no US troops were on Germany soil until 1945, seems you need to research your family history again.
Your price is way to high, thousands of these flags were taken by American, British and Canadian soldiers in WW2, the more of the same objects there are then the lower the value.
EBay do not allow nazii military items to be sold on their site that feature the swastika or ss runes.
Try a on line search for "Mannions" Militaria auctioneers and see what price they offer.

If you have any evidence like photos with you grandfather and the flag it could make the flag worth more, but it would have to either be a major collector or a museum that would be willing to pay any significant amount.
Try to locate all the history of the flag you can, If you had a letter from your grandfather authenticating where he got the flag that would have helped as well.
Sorry about your parents divorce and It is a shame you have to sell a part of your family history because of it.
If possible keep the flag, it is a part of your family and should continue to be a reminder of your grandfathers service and sacrifice.

I'm sorry to say that you probably wouldn't get much more than a quarter to half of that amount and you'd have to find someone who is really into that kind of thing. I've seen 5 foot Nazi flags sell for as little as $100 depending on condition. You might get lucky and find someone who really wants it but I wouldn't expect that much for it. Don't build yourself up only to be let down. Think of making a little profit and be ecstatic when you get a lot more.

This will probably surprise you. No Americans were murdered by German Nazis or Japanese in World War II. The war did not come ashore here. Don't they teach history in school anymore?
