You should be fine. However I do suggest walking through the station and exiting on the seventh avenue exit. The eigth ave exit tends to attract some bums.

I walked into and around Penn Station at all hours of the night when I lived near NYC and had no problems.

Follow the pointers posted by others.

you should be fine. Keep to yourself and don't make eye contact with anyone. Keep your eyes open for a safe route, or a cop to go to in case of trouble. Things have changed in the City over the last 10-15 years. The bad reputation is still there but it is MUCH safer than it gets credit for. The streets are always packed with party-ers all hours of the night. You should be fine, but still, always be cautious - no matter where you are!

there is usually a stereotype that the full borough is secure. in my view, i admire the Bronx, via fact there are a number of astonishing aspects, and it relatively is plenty extra low fee than Brooklyn and massive apple. The holiday into massive apple is likewise extraordinarily ordinary. secure, and astonishing aspects could be Riverdale, Pelham throughway, Pelham Bay, Pelham Gardens, Morris Park, Throgs Neck, and usa club. All attractive aspects that are very secure and handy into massive apple. desire this helped!! (:
