There are no studies indicating that using an Anti-aging cream in your 20's will have any adverse effects. With that said there are studies that show that over exfoliation of the skin using too many AHA's and too much scrubbing will prematurely age the skin. When skin is over exfoliated in attempt to thwart aging it eventually reaches the Hayflick limit and begins to age itself. See this article: http://users.erols.com/gtodorov/skincare/aha_bha.htm

As far as anti-aging antioxidants and peptides there have been no studies showing that early usage will damage your skin. With that said, some anti-aging creams will do nothing for you in your 20's. You can spend a lot on an anti-aging cream but if you don't have wrinkles or discoloration to address then you won't see any results you'll just be giving your skin a little bit more "nutrition". Anti-aging antioxidants are a good idea for all ages because they prevent free radical damage. Peptides are really not that important to use until you are in your 30's because they are a results oriented product meaning they will help repair damage but don't prevent it like anti-oxidants can. The best anti-aging you can do for yourself is to eat right, drink lots of water, take daily multi-vitamins, don't smoke, moderate alcohol consumption, exercise to get your circulation going and clean out your lymph system, and wear sunscreen with anti-oxidants in it daily. Protecting your skin and nourishing from the inside out is the best anti-aging you can do in your 20's.
