I have been on the job for 24 years. Never seen a ghost, goblin or UFO. No big foot sightings, either.
I work in a major city. But I did do 5 years in a small town, too.
Any suspicious bumps in the night that I have been called to were contributed to criminal activity, varmints or more frequently some one with limited mental capacity.
Oh, and for any "nuts" that may be reading this question, no.. I am not part of the big government cover up! LOL... that cracks me up.
Cool question. Thanks.

I'm also retired. I don't recall ever hearing anything about paranormal or supernatural activity, or anything even remotely like that. However, over the years I found periodic reports of strange lights in the sky, possible UFO's, etc. There was a time wa-a-a-a-a-a-y back in the 60's and 70's when we had to report these sightings to our general headquarters, who periodically compiled a detailed report sending it to some agency ... government or private, I don't recall. Around 1980 that simply stopped and we only wrote up and closed a basic report to cover our ***.

yeah, I've had a few but its generally by the UFO crowd. The same ones that are phoning in about funny lights in the sky are phoning in about 'happenings' in there house. Unfortunately these people have been a bit unstable. They are generally off their medication or prone to hallucinations. I've found that as soon as they are back on their meds they tend to stop seeing things. Its a bit harder to handle than the UFO calls though. Theres no aluminium hats to be made and to be put over windows to help them out. As for any legit calls placed by legit, stable people, I've never had any. I would assume in rational, sane person wouldnt call the police for something like that. More like their pastor or friends.

as a dispatcher over the years i have had a few but mostly ufo's, i told them to keep an eye open and if it got to a point where they felt in danger to call back and i would keep the police on alert, but cant remember if i got any calls back.

I am not a police officer, but a friend's mom saw weird red lights in the sky one night. She got worried and called the police.
It turned out to be an aurora borealis. :-)
