It's been my experience that Most "liberals" and / or "progressives" compromise their principles re: right and wrong to try to achieve some kind of marxist or socialist plane of equality, which ultimatly is anything but equal. Wishful thinking doesn't mean what their wishing for is possible as a practical reality. Tree huggers need wooden tables, walls, and streetsign posts. Does that really make em hypocrites? HELL YES. If any of them had the courage of their convictions, they'd live in dirt holes or in houses made out of recycled tires.
World peace is never going to happen as long as there is free will.

Ever considering that recorded history there has been type of a finished of 30 years of world peace. conflict is mostly over components scarce or in any different case so between the main rational uncomplicated the type to have peace is to be sure anybody has the components they want. that's in many circumstances carried out in 3 undemanding techniques. a million. decrease the purposes of folk 2. improve production of things and components 3. the two a type of issues. How that's carried out although is to assert the least, difficult. you should actually decrease the inhabitants yet i've got faith like that would in basic terms be a quick time era answer. skill may be renewable so the situation is then to make it obtainable to all. particular components are uncommon and effectual so a technique or the different we are going to ought to get extra or how you would be extra effectual, i'm particular there is probable extra to be finished. Then those few i've got submit right here. basically reaching international peace for a twelve months is a feat a extensive feat.

I never thought we could achieve world peace through meditation? Where did you get that idea? Oh yeah, you illiberals are always assuming you know what we think.
I think the only way we can achieve world peace is through dumping despots of all stripes, dishonest business interests and persuade religious people to keep their beliefs to themselves... and then establishing a real world government.
Short of all that, which doesn't seem likely to happen, I'm pretty sure we're going to pretty much destroy the last thirty thousand years of human progress, and possibly a lot of the living world, because of human greed and shortsightedness.
When I meditate, it's to find personal peace in the face of all this horror.

I don't think all liberals are Buddhist and practice meditation. I have also never heard of a liberal compare world peace to Nirvana. Your claim that this is a "fatal flaw in their thinking" is false because liberals don't have that mindset in the first place.
However, if you are referring to the concept of the Bodhisattva, who will forgo his/her own entrance into Nirvana by assuring that others go before him/her, then I think you're on the right track. Liberals want to see the comfort of other and make strides to do so, such as a Bodhisattva will assist others in achieving Nirvana.

How do liberals and Buddhists get clumped together? Not all liberals are Buddhists.
And through the Buddhists teachings all beings can reach nirvana. Not many people strive for insights and meditate regularly throughout their lives like many do in Eastern countries.

Ah yes, so you have no understanding of the concept "Nirvana", which is quite common. Perhaps you'd be better served in actually studying it, and what meditation can and cannot acheive and then you'll understand the flaws in your commentary.

Sorry, liberals believe in 'Nirvana'? This is news to me, but then you guys have some pretty darn strange ideas about 'liberals' in the first place, so whatever.
But you're right, liberals are by and large very optimistic and progressive and idealistic. I'm not sure it's better to be pessimistic, reactionary and dystopian, but apparently you think it is...

I've never met a liberal who thought they could achieve mass nirvana, or world peace.
Maybe it is a fatal flaw in conservative thinking which makes them come up with inaccurate and silly rhetorical questions....just maybe.

Nope. Many liberals hope to achieve world peace by refraining from invading foreign countries under false pretenses.

I don't know, but I have a liberal grandmother who LOVES the UN (unnessecary) and thinks that we'll have world peace. I think that it would be wonderful to have it, but COME ON...NOT gonna happen. What I find hilarious about liberals is they want us all to be equal and have the same choices, yet they're all rich snoots with large houses and lord themselves over us. If they take over we'll be communists, waiting in line for toilet paper.
