For me I would have to go with audio, Video is very easy to set up and calibrate but it is a true art to get the best sounding audio. The correct balance between highs and lows. to have enough bass but not to much and make sure that the sound does not get trapped in the room. Many have problems with the bass trapped in the corners. I am a huge movie fan and when designing a room specifically for movies there is so much more you have to put into consideration for the sound over video.

Hi When you watch a widescreen multi channel movie at the Cinema because the screen is very large the sound has to fill the whole auditorium to give you that sense of being part of the action. So i think the audio/visual presentation is about even .If one is not right the other will suffer .Back home in your own theater things are a bit different .If you watch a movie on a high definition widescreen tv and you have a multi channel sound system ,the audio will overpower the visual because the image is too small for the sound. It is only when you watch with a high quality projector and large screen(10 feet or more) that the audio and video compliment each other. You do not want one distracting you from the other .They should fuse together to give you that Cinema experience at home.
