Have you seen some close calls ?? or bad judgements ?? while cell phone users where driving ??
It is getting more popular every day to talk & drive.
Our safety is at risk.
I am fed up with the way the ones on the phones are driving.
Paying more attention to the phone then the rules of the road.
I use a cell phone, but not while I am driving.

I have serious issues with people's cell phone use. Not just driving though I think that is the worst especially young drivers who don't have much experience driving anyway. I've seen people so intent on either answering the phone or talking on the phone that they are oblivious to their surroundings and have caused accidents. I've seen families out on outing with each other and everyone has a cell at their ear so they are not really together. I've seen people at shelters for food and a place to sleep with cell phones. I've seen people walk past a sign asking them not to use or turn off their cell phones just yakking away. I once had a young lady in my office for a job interview, her phone rang and in the middle of my question she answered the phone and carried on a conversation about social plans for later without excusing herself. Needless to say she didn't get the job. I would like to add a law to the driving laws. No Phone Use While Driving!

I think if you can talk and drive fine, then go ahead. But the way it seems for most people is that when they are on the phone, driving skills go way out the window. So sadly we will eventually have another new law about driving while on the cell phone...I haven't seen anything real crazy caused by talking on a celly, but I have seen people do some stupid things that are just really annoying, b/c either they are a bad driver, or they can't drive and talk on the phone....people need to learn to realize their abilities, take some responsibility...

I agree..the practice of talking on cell phones whilst driving is irresponsible and dangerous. Can these people not wait until they are off the road before taking a phone call.
They are risking the lives of others and are potential murderers!!
I resent that my life and my families, are in the hands of idiots like these, every time we need to go somewhere in the car.

It's a law here that young (below 21) drivers are not allowed to talk on a phone and drive at the same time...they also can't have more than 1 other minor in the car with them!

I'm sure there's a better category for this than Family, but definitely too many people take their attention off the road to eat, drink, text, talk on the phone, etc.

I agree with you. I see people on the phone and not on the road rules. And in my case I ride a bike (motorcycle) and it is hard for people to see me and impossible for them to see me when they are on the phone.
If you can look back when cell phones first came out the NEWS paper printed that cell phones made driving safter because people were not in a hurry to get places and they could tell people if they wre running late.
Now the NEWS paper say that people on cell phone drive worst then a drunk drivers.
And studies are out there to prove it is true.

Same here, Jill. Cellphone users on the road infuriate me. Doesn't matter whether or not they're using headsets; that doesn't mean a hill 'o beans difference. They're distracted from their responsibilities as safe drivers on the road and are zoned on their phone conversation. I have seen more near-misses due to irresponsible cellphone drivers. Uh-oh! There goes my blood pressure again!

Think it is too distracting and that people shouldn't use them while driving - but, until that is made law - people will continue to use them and drive, and even if it was made a law - some would still violate it - like the ones who drink and drive.

I do agree with you but everytime they call me when i'm driving i just answer to see if it's an emergency (u never know if it is ) so if it's not and they just want to talk i just tell them i'll call you back cause i'm driving and thats about it. and i hang up even though they say i just need to ask you some questions i just hang up cause i know that we can forget about the road and we put our minds on what we are talking about..
