The Christians feel badly and say they can't talk about Jesus. Um, they can! That's what they're doing. So why the complaints?

When they say they can't talk about Jesus, are they really asking "Why can't I talk about Jesus and you shuttup about him?" Are they saying that THEY have a right to talk about Jesus, but WE don't.

Does "talking about Jesus" only mean "saying things about Jesus that agree with my world view?" Or does it mean "We all have basic human rights to share our point-of-view on a topic?"

Christians, why can you talk about Jesus, but I can't?

I would talk more about Jesus, but she only speaks in parables and "Java" -- but I'm still impressed by her miracles, including multiple resurrections.

Praise be Laptop Jesus.

When people talk about rights like freedom of speech, they tend to forget that the next guy has just as much right to whine about or criticize what you have to say as you have to speak to begin with. I could tell them to shut up, though I can't expect them to do so. Still, I can say it, or any other derogatory, negative, or un-PC thing I want. I can bash what you have to say just as much as you can bash what I have to say.

I guess this also means the Christians can complain about being "persecuted" all they want, but they can't expect people to believe that hogwash or respond favorably. Rights should, however, be exercised responsibly.

It's been something that has been going on for some time in the USA. Where it's okay to talk abuot your sexual lovers on television, but 'Jesus' gets omitted by the censors, and has been against 'company policy' to mention on the air. That has changed in recent times, but it's still out there.

At least, that's what I think they mean.

You can talk about Jesus all you want, but please don't say blasphemous things about Him. That is very hurtful to those of us who love Him. If you did say bad things about Jesus, it would be like me totally bashing your father. People tend to defend what they love.

That's all.

0_o you can talk about Jesus, you can talk about whatever the hell you want. I'm not Christian, but you as a person have the right to talk about whatever you want. If it is an inteligent conversation, don't worry about it.

And why can't we talk about other Gods and modes of worship, either?

I guess some people never heard of Christian websites and forums.

Anyone is free to talk about Jesus, I think people are referring to those who not only disagree which is fine, but who are nasty, rude and obnoxious about it.
Do any of us need to act that way?

I know that there are people from all groups on here who answer in this way and it's just truly not necissary.

Why do you want to talk about him. He tricked people into believing he was the son of God. He was the biggest con man in written history(or fiction)

The same reason blacks can talk about race but whites can't. It is all in being politically correct.
