why is the f16 falcon never on any body top ten jet fighters list..it pave the way for fly by wire it has a good record in combat and its cost only $18.8 million us.. so what is it..

Some folks just have to have the fancy new toys, even if the old reliable ones still far surpass what our competition has. No general gets himself a cushy job in the defense industry after retirement by honestly saying we don't need that overpriced new technology but we COULD use more troops and better pay.

Most people don't like the F-16's anymore because they think they are out of date. With all this new and expanding technology it is easy to see why. Me on the other hand...I love the F-16 it is one of the first jets I ever saw close enough to touch. I have always and will always have the F-16 on my top 10 jet fighters list.
