Yahoo Answers is a place where you as a Christian and I as an atheist CAN express our views. I don't feel intimidated by the presence of Christians and I hope vice versa.
Where on Yahoo Answers is anyone saying Christians cannot express their opinions and beliefs? Where is anyone being persecuted? You are reading far too much into disagreements and argument.

It would seem that it is the opposite way around.
I do not see atheists asking "Why are there christians here on Y!A" on a regular basis.... but i do see a lot of christians asking why atheists are here... as if we do not have a right to be here. I think they are the ones who are intimidated because they are not as strong in their faith as they would have everyone believe. They are afraid of OUR opinions & beliefs making them doubt their own.
Personally, I'm not intimidated by any of the brainwashed such as yourself, and I actually enjoy having intelligent conversation with some christians who i found to be very personable. (like ddking, and socmum16)

I'm a Muslim, and I'm not intimidated by anyone here.
I'm here simply looking for genuine questions to reply to with genuine, honest, informative answers .......
Yeh, of course you're gonna get those that bash eachothers religions [coz they obviously have nothing better to do] but you don't need to feel intimidated or even insulted ....... you have to just realise that these people are ignorant of your beliefs, and you have the choice to either try and educate them a little or just ignore them.
Personally, I've got no problem with you all expressing your beliefs and opinions , as long as you realise, we have every right to do the same...... so...... express away ;D

Foolishness. Non-believers and Christians debate. This doesn't mean non-believers are intimidated or Christians are being persecuted for their beliefs. I guess this is the best you could come up with?
Think before you type.

1st,intimidated is absolutely false. I come here BECAUSE theists are here. I don't wish you to go. I am here to hear different viewpoints,so I am certainly NOT intimidated,as I initiate the action to interact with you. Can you pull up ONE post that stated "Christians shouldn't be on this forum"?I can quickly pull up pages full of Christians saying such things regarding atheists. You come here to argue/debate,face it. Whats the alternative?Sample Christian only room.."Isn't God great!"Answer"yes,he sure is!" ...Sample atheist only "I don't believe in God!"Answer"Me neither"makes for a boring way to try to pass time.So do not kid yourself, you intimidate no one. As for the rest of your statement, there is no movement to demand scientists have an equal say in a church service, there is a move to put religion in the classrooms however. There is no movement to put monuments bearing the words "there is no god" in govt. bldgs. There is,however,a movement to put the commandments in such places. This from people who somehow caught the phrase "christian nation" and just say it like it is history, when REAL history is that America was founded PRECISELY because people did not want to be FORCED to practice a state religion. So attempts are made to subjugate my rights NOT to worship. Exactly how are YOU not free to worship any way you please?Think about it. That's real life I just told you

no one is intimidated by christians on YA, its just that some your questions enrage ppl thats all, because instead of asking genuine questions in trying to increase your knowledge of other faiths, your questions start to border on preaching and converting others and also being argumentative towards other people beliefs. i am a muslim and when i ask questions, it is not so that i can offend others, but it is to try and make me understand more about other ppls beliefs, better to be knowledgable than ignorant.

We are appalled by your religion's (assuming you are a Christian) need to control the government and how you belittle and dismiss other religions as pretenders to some king of the hill conceot that your religion has. We don't care who is on top, but we do care that those on top aren't satisfied unless they destroy or discredit that which is just as good as you.

LOL Oh my... there is a difference between intimidated and annoyance.
I'm annoyed that some of you think your opinion is the only right one. Believe me there is no way you could intimidate me. lol

I don't care if you express your opinions and religious beliefs.
I do care if you try to convert my kids or change laws to force your religious beliefs on me.
See the difference (not rhetorical)?
