I would if I could ... I hate wearing shoes

Yes. I don't go to church often, and spiritual reasons aren't the main reason for my barefooting, but it definitely plays a part... I once walked on an old, moss-grown cemetery wearing shoes and it felt very wrong, it was like I was cursing with every step. I won't do that again. It shouldn't matter so much in a new, modern building but I wouldn't ever want to stomp around in shoes on those old church floors that we have here in Europe, centuries old and often with gravestones in the floor. I feel far more connected with the Gods and spirits around me when I am barefoot in a special place.

Technically, church can take place anywhere you have a congregation, so if it's held outside in nature then I think many people would attend church barefoot.

I live in a somewhat large city, so it wouldn't be practical for me to go to church barefoot. If I didn't have to wear shoes, I wouldn't.

in a lot of cultures it is a sign of respect to remove your shoes before entering their home. A church is the Lords home, so there for, it is only respecting Him to remove your shoes. So, yes, I usually remove my shoes at church.

In my church you can. I do what Jesus did, he went to the mountains, by the sea, in the wilderness...

The only miracle he performed in a church building was when he kicked some butt.

I wouldn't go anywhere barefoot. Never know what your going to step on or what kinds of disease you'll find.

Actually some people do!

They take the excerpt from when Moses had to "take off his shoes because you are standing on holy ground".
