I hear that commisaries on military bases except coupons up to six months beyond the expiration date. Due to high security reasons generic addresses are not allowed...must have a specific place/person and address to send them to.

I send mine to an Army base in Germany.

The specific packaging requirements will vary (depending on where you're sending them), but since you're sending to an APO or FPO address, US postage rates apply. The Post Office will tell you exactly how to package them, if an export declaration form needs to be attached, and if so, which one.

If you have to complete an export declaration form, list the contents as Coupons, with $0 as the value, and as a gift.

Since I send a LOT at one time, I send mine Priority Mail in a box. I have to attach Form 2976-1, available at the post office and easy to complete. I sent almost $2,000 worth a couple of weeks ago (after the postage increase) and it cost $5.20. I could send them for less cost, but they get there more quickly this way.

Thank you for wanting to do this!

I have about a dozen addresses for Army posts overseas. Email or IM me if you would like them.

You shouldn't need a customs form unless you send more than one pound of coupons.

only OCONUS bases accept coupons past the expiration date. you can try and contact any Fleet and Family Support Center( Navy) from any base. each Branch has an equivalent.

I don't know anyone currently in the service. But as a Veteran, I thank you form the bottom of my heart for taking the time to support our young men and women.
