When hindus had no army,...were ruled by muslims, weak, dejected and hated... even then Hinduism was NOT taken over by Islam!!!
Then god came in form of Guru Teg Bahadur, Guru Gobind Singh, Shivaji, Banda Bairagi...to save hindus
Now in 21st century ? when hindus have advanced in technology, atomic weapons and money...it is a distant dream
Can someone kill the Truth ??

Well some words which u have used.....i am speechless.. " virtually ending them"...."samething happened with Buddhism"......"successfully kept their identities". First i would like to inform u.....this may shock u.... u only have 1/2 cerebral hemisphere. Now for ur Q.... 1. Hinduism is the "base" on which present day religions r standing. 2. Buddhism started from Hinduism...it is often called the enlightened path of Hindusim. The 1st Buddhists were Hindus..n as u know Lord Buddha was a Hindu Prince. 3. And u r talking about identities.....these r the identitis of both religions - islam - the most hated religion in the world...take a poll on YA to prove. Christianity - a religion that only knows one thing - conversion Hinduism is not just about praying n believing in God.......It is LOT more than that...... If Islam n Chrsitianity r kids....Hinduism is their Grandfather LOL........

No... Nothing of the sort is going to happen. Why? For the very simple reason that in the house of God there is no place for fanaticism. Muslims world over have practiced fanatical tendencies which is absolutely contradictory to the dictates of God in the sacred scriptures.
In India Hinduism advocates practice of democracy at its best! For this reason, China even though a world economical power would never become superpower number one ever. In the coming world war three that is expected around 2012... A fight to the finish between Christianity and Islamic Dharma... the last nuclear war of this era... the Islamic Dharma is ordained to be doomed.
Almost 20% of the world population would be wiped out in world war three. In the system of God it is the doctrine of karma and logistics that play a dominant role. In Christianity and Islamic Dharma... both karma and logistics have no place! They want to dictate their terms. You violate... and a fatwa is immediately passed. Does it speak of literate people... after all what benefit of mankind they harbor in their thinking!
After the end of world war 3, the population of Pakistan would be considerably reduced. In the event Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Burma, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and other surrounding countries would merge with greater India. The population of greater India would be about 1500 million. Greater India would be declared superpower number one after the end of world war three. (India will become greater India after merging of all surrounding countries)
The events as they appear may belie the truth. But the destiny of mankind is fixed. None including God Almighty can change the manifest destiny of India... where Hinduism is practiced at its best. The knower of Bhagavad Gita (the most sacred doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna) becomes the knower of all... what more could the lusting human form desire!
In the times to come, India would reap the benefits of patience, persistence and perseverance it has long practiced. You slap on one face and the other turns over! The Muslims in India would finally accept their fate... they shall be termed Muslim Hindus the moment India becomes greater India after world war three. For more than 600 years India was ruled by Muslims.
After that for nearly 200 years British ruled over India
But nothing happened to Hindus.
Today Muslims+Christians are only 2% populated in India

hey, what are you saying ??? ,
everyone has the freedom to choose his religion and everybod has his beliefs ..
and Ilam doesn't fight any religion and order to respect other religions and beliefs so how do you say that it causes terrorism or even think how many people take Islam as a religion ..
so, don't think from this side , all india is a one nation although different beliefs and different languages and accents .. and as the egyptian statement says : "the religion for Allah and the home for all "
so we aren't ought to say that islam or christianity or buddhism or any other religion will takeover another one, it's a very bad question not important as all the country still has its name and nationality ,
but if you're thinking from the religious side and you're thinking why are all those people going towards Islam .. read about its tolerance and behaviours and rules ,..... etc
Islam deal and welcome with all other religions and orders to deal good with other people and respect their thoughts and to love our country and DON'T FIGHT OTHER RELIGIONS ..

Though Hinduism has survived bigger threats,If the Hindus remain unconcerned our own Government and pseudo politicians will do anything to garner votes.They are the real enemies.
The Hindus should rise against discrimination between castes.It is only a social order. The deprived should not be allowed to feel neglected.Else other religions will increasingly exploit to their advantage.
Every body must rise to the occasion to thwart this menace. .

people have the option to choose the religion of their choice in india but unlikely that given a free choice and not forced to convert hindus may prefer to remain hindus. then there are other options suchas buddhism, jainism etc. there are no religious wars in secular india and muslims are getting reservations for jobs in some states since they are a religious minority.

NO.Atleast not in India.
But eventually does it really matter? For example i am born in a muslim family and as such i am made to belive that this religion is the best. Similarly for a person born in a hindu family will believe that hinduism is the best.
All are right and all are wrong. No religion is superior or inferior. All are the same. All religions lead to the one and only " almighty".
All religions are like rivers with different names taking different paths/routes, but ultimately and finally all end up in the sea.

As long as there is diverse creation in this world no single idea can rule it. We live in world in which no two life forms are physically alike then to believe a single idea by all of us is impossible.
Islam is also divided into plenty there are sunis, Shias etc.., If anyone converts to islam he is not treated as First class Muslim. Then how will that attract people to convert into it.
Anyway the point is humans are unique each have their own set of idea and ideals to follow hence there is no chace that a single idea can take over the world.

No,i don't think so..
And stop treating islam like the plague or something..it is just another religion practised by around 13% of the whole population of India, and we too just want to lead peaceful lives alongside the Hindus, christians,Buddhists,Jains etc. as much as i believe you do..
