If you are absolutely sure that you don't want to hear from this guy again you need to take further actions. First you can block his calls on your phone and e-mail. Let him know you are going to do this before you do so he will know you mean business. Let him know that if he persists that you will contact the authorities and get a restraining order against him. It is up to you how far you want to go with this. If you think there is a chance you still like him you need to lay down the rules. If he can't abide by your wishes then dish him.

He is obviously quite persistent. Since he won't take the hint, you are going to need to be very direct. Tell him to leave you alone. If he doesn't, call the police and file a restraining order against him.

If this continues break off any type of friendship. I've seen it before and the best thing to do is never speak to him again. He will be forced to move on and will eventually realize it was for the best. Some guys just get infatuated for the moment because they have nothing better going on. the sooner the better.

It sounds like he came to rely on you.
You made it easy for him to be with you and then you took it away. Yes it's because you got fed up of him free-loading, but did you tell him this in the beginning?
I think as women we have become so independent that we don't even realise were paying the man's way.
Men are coming to the realisation that women don't need them as much no-a-days and it frightens them, which explains his possessiveness.
We need to remember, that sometimes when we meet people (potential partners), it is not because we put ourselves out there, it's because we needed to learn something about ourselves.
Sounds like he learned of the gift of generosity (from you) and you learned what it would feel like to be used, or heavily relied upon.
As long as you learn from it, no experience is a waste.
If you don't want to keep receiving calls, change your number, and block him from your contacts it's that easy.
Unless of course, you liked having someone who relied on you.

Can we say restraining order? Seriously if you told him it's over and you want nothing more to do with him including friends then there is a problem. Change your number and report him stalking if he continues.

Answer the phone and tell him you don't want to be with him anymore. Politely. Explain your reasons and if he keeps calling or makes threats, look into involving the authorities. (much as you might dislike them)

you need to actually tell him tht your not interested, guys never take the hints if they're not what they want. if he wasnt paying for anything maybe he doesnt have a job or doesnt get paid much, its not up to the guy to pay for everything

Have your brother or a male friend answer the phone the next time he calls.......That will let him know that he's barking up the wrong tree.
