I've read the Bible. I'm hours into the Koran. So far they are the exact same stories; Adam/Garden of Eden, and Moses and the mountain. Slightly different points of view, but basically the same.

I'm curious how reading two (or more) Holy books changes your perspective.

Judaism, Islam, and Christianity all follow the same lineage. They are called Abrahamic religions. It should be no surprise to find similarities between them. If you want to expose yourself to something different, try reading a few Buddhist sutras, the Tao te Ching (Taoism), or Bhagavad Gita (Hinduism).

I've read both the Bible and the Qur'an....... and since reading the Qur'an I have become Muslim (that was 6 years ago)

I found to many contradictions in the Bible and I never found any satisfying answers to my questions ..... one main question: "If the Bible is the 'Word of God' why are there soooo many versions ...... " (There is only one Arabic Qur'an).

I encourage you to continue reading the Qur'an. I will give you a link to a reliable and most accurate English translation of Qur'an by Dr Mohsin Khan:

I also recommend, for those reading Qur'an for the first time, to also read a copy of what is known in Arabic as 'Tafsir' which is a commentary on every verse of the Qur'an explaining detail on reason for revelation etc. If you read tafsir alongside Qur'an verse by verse, you will avoid misunderstanding and misinterpreting verses.

You can download a free copy of the most reliable Tafsir of Qur'an (Tafsir Ibn Kathir) at the following link. When you click on the link, scroll down to FREE ISLAMIC DOWNLOADS and click on TAFSIR IBN KATHIR

I pray this has been useful to you. May God bless and guide you, ameen

What i've got been given from Bible is that the guy has 2 be stable spiritually ... its all approximately stable spirits and how 2 be stable. Perspective (cognitive), one's "point of view", the choice of a context for opinions, beliefs and experiences

Point of view (literature), the related experience of the narrator

You always have to pay attention to where the writer is sitting at the table...what is their personal perspective. That way you can maintain an objectiveness to your study and learning, and still remember where it is that you sit as well. So you don't get lost in someone else's view....

Interesting use of the word 'Holy book'.

How ironic I find it to be, that there are more than one holy books! There is only one Book that is Holy ~ THE BIBLE! What makes the book holy it's not because it addresses religious matters, NO!

What makes the book holy is the nature of the writer, not necessarily the contents of it. The Bible is a Holy Book, simply because it has God as its Author! And God is Holy, so is the Book He has written.
