If there's no way to resolve whatever it is about the job that makes you sick, absolutely. Health has to come first. I was in that position. There was much about the job that I liked, but it really was damaging my health. I quit and ended up finding a job I like even better. Good luck!

If you are becoming physically ill from something at your job, you can get workman's comp. If you are becoming ill due to stress from being at a job you don't like for whatever reason (not feeling appreciated, evil coworkers, evil boss, the list goes on and on), then yes, I say quit. You're health is the most important thing and you can't do your job effectively if you are feeling ill all the time because you don't like being there.

I would say yes. Nothing is worth making yourself sick over. However I would make sure that it's the job that is the problem and not you worrying or getting yourself upset and making yourself sick.

First off, if it makes you truly physically sick, you should get workman's comp. If you just do not like the job that MUCH, you should find yourself another job.

Absolutely not! I was in a job that caused me to go into therapy and to go on anti-depressants. I went out on temporary disability for a month and found a new job in the meantime. It was one of the best decisions of my life. There is no reason to spend 40 hours a week at a job that makes you ill. Follow your heart and look for a job that suits you, you'll be so much better for it. Consider talking to a therapist. Mine helped me out so much, she actually suggested I go out on TDI. Look for a new job on monster.com, careerbuilder.com or snagajob.com. Good luck.

Yes, I've had a few of those, and believe me it isn't worth it. You need to find another job.

Yes, you should quit yesterday and also talk to a lawyer to see if they owe you any workmen's comp or damages. What is it that makes you sick?

Definitely. You will always regret if you ruin your health with a lousy job.

Ever thought about how many people on their deathbed say "I wish I had worked more after hours..."?

Zero.

Change your priorities.
