In real life I have been worried about finding a teaching job for 2007-2008. I am a certified teacher, but for 2006-2007 I have worked as a teachers aide because I couldn't find a local teaching job. My worries have kept me from sleeping well as we complete this school year. I love where I work and didn't want to have to leave here. I have been working with Adaptive Behavior (AB--special ed. kids who have severe emotional and/or behavioral problems) as an aide and wanted to keep working with them next year but I can't afford to keep working for less than half of teacher pay.

Recently I have had 2 recurring dreams. Each dream left me with a feeling of deep peace. In one dream, I was working with the same students next year. In the other dream, I was the school librarian next year.

I found out the meaning of those dreams yesterday when I was asked to work as the librarian/AB teacher next year...at teacher salary. They did this to keep from losing me.

Any similar stories?

Yes, I am a prayerful woman. I have been praying about my job situation for a long time, but during the last couple of weeks as we are finishing 2006-2007, I have let worry take over.

This was just such a big shock to me to get this job offer...at a teacher salary instead of an aide salary. I never shared with anyone what I wanted for next year...except that I can't afford to keep living on an aide salary. I had already taught for 3 years before having to humble myself and take the demotion to aide so I can keep my teenagers in the same high school.

It just amazes me that I dreamt of having each job and now I have been offered both jobs combined. I didn't even know a school could combine two aide positions into one job and pay a teacher salary. (In this school, the librarian has always been an aide, not a Certified Librarian...and I am not a Certified Librarian).

I believe we possess the power to make anything come true if we really want it-literally! I know we can wish things our way. I also know that the dwelling place of God is onside of us. If you felt a deep sense of peace then I imagine that it was by the manifestation of God through the Holy Spirit that you were able to get your answers long before they happened. sometimes we see these things and especially when we are prayerful (are you?) or are used as Gods messengers to show other people His greatness. Dreams are our subconscious thoughts and wishes. God is real and He is great and He is very close by to answer our hearts desires. It happened to you didn't it?

I recently dreamed I was driving a huge green car from the 1970's. Later that day, I saw the exact same car I dreamed about parked at the 7-11! Nothing like that ever happened to me before. I had never seen that car before the dream. What's even stranger is that the girl who owns the big green car is the clerk who I sort of have an admiration for. After seeing the big green car, and finding out who it belonged to, I started to wonder if maybe it was some kind of sign that I should ask her out. I haven't asked her out though. I've never really even had a conversation with her or introduced myself. I'm too shy, plus she is a lot younger than me. However, she does smile at me every time we make eye contact. I don't know if she's just friendly or if she likes me, or both. All I know is I am too freakin shy to do anything to find out. Argh!

Yes, this is not uncommon. I have had many dreams in the past and they would come to pass just as God showed me. When God was really dealing with me in my life, He would show me dreams and I would get close to them coming to pass, I would try to change what I saw happen in the dreams. But I found out that I couldn't. Things turned out exactly to the "T", as they did in my dreams. One time, I had a dream that I was going to get a job at the California hotel in Las Vegas, but the management in the dream did not want to hire me. The were looking at my file and said sorry we can't hire you. Then a hand grabbed the file out of the interviewer's hand and stamped "approved" on it. That was my dream. So, I went to apply at the California hotel for real. When I went to the human resource office, the woman there was giving me a hard time and she said she would not recommend me for hire. But she let me go talk to the supervisor of the department for which I applied. The woman kept saying I was not going to get hired. But when I came back from talking to the person in the department I was applying for, they hired me. And the woman at the human resource office was shocked and wondered how that happened. It was all God to His praise and glory.

It would do your heart well to read about (Jacob's son) Joesph in the bible. Everything he dreamed came true. He also had a gift from God to understand other people's dreams. This is a great gift that God still gives his people today.

Reading your experience blessed my heart. Thank You.

...yes...my dreams DO sometimes come true. Allot of my own gut mental dream interpretations come true. It flabbergasts me sometimes honestly. How significant for me though really....that my dreams DO come true. It's pretty darn cool when you learn how to control it a little bit seriously. It's when it's out of control that I toss it! LOL!!!
