God created it. It is the only thing that makes sense.
You cannot get something from nothing. It can change forms, but it cannot be created when there is nothing to make it from, unless there is a higher power involved in which then all things make sense.
There are lots of man made so called "rules" that can be twisted around to make it all sound right, but ultimately using simple thinking of "Where did it come from?" If you keep asking that question, you will eventually get to a point where the only possible answer is God.

Question: How could light (energy) evolve out of nothingness?
Energy doesn't evolve - you need to learn a little more about evolution before attempting to apply to things as if you know what it means.
At the same time, why would it be more believable that 'god made it from absolutely nothing'?
The problem here is that people can't fathom something that is infinite - like the universe. They are trapped in a linear thought process because humans are born, live, and then die. They have beginnings and ends - and therefore 'everything must have a beginning and an end'.
Planets have beginnings and endings - eventually our earth will crash into the sun (or burn up before hitting it) due to its gravitational pull.
Though even when the earth is destroyed - the energy and matter from it will still exist.

In Genesis, GOD said, "Let there be light." and there was light, and he saw that it was good.
GOD spoke light into existence from nothingness.
How can you get something from nothing?
The theory of evolution, and/or the big-bang, whether it be light or whatever, (to me) is a matter of perspective.
GOD is omnipotent, and therefore (to me) our definition of time (linear-time) has no meaning. Whereas, humanity is bound by linear time. We've only recently discovered different theoretical concepts of time.
I believe that what may have occurred in an instant in "GOD-time" may not have been the case in "linear-time."
The process of creating a planet that can support human life, according to geologists, and astronomers, could take millions, sometimes billions of years to us. What was written in Genesis between chapter one and chapter two could have taken millions of years to occur to us, for all we know, but only have taken an instant to GOD. HE must have some really long days, lol.
The fact of matter is, we will never know because all we can do is theorize a possible solution. Creationists, and evolutionists could both be wrong, or we could both be right. We simply don't know. We will never know until humanity creates a time machine that actually works.

That's a good point for all the evolutionists. How could light evolve from darkness? It couldn't. God created light. As for as evolution is concerned, I believe that what scientists call evolution is just the process of God creating. I don't believe He "twitched" his nose like Bewitched, per se. God is eternal. 300 million years is less than an instant to God where time has no value or meaning.

DRINK!
Did God evolve out of absolutely nothing?
Whatever light or energy or matter there is, always has been. It did not just magically appear one day.
Why is that so difficult to concieve?

energy and mass are the result of the spin and interaction of each quark. Mass and energy do not evolve in the way that life does. Biological evolution is merely the mechanism of change throughout and within the species.

I love God of the gaps questions...can you explain this yet? No? Ok God did it!
If we allowed this logic to drive our research, we'd still be drilling holes in skulls to let the demons out.
What's the background radiation of the universe? The static from God's TV?

I don't think the sun factored in to evolution theories.
As far as I know, energy can not evolve from nothingness.
I don't think this has anything to do with g0d. (unless maybe you are an aztec or a mayan)

Nothingness has never existed. Matter and energy may have existed in different forms but nothingness is not possible.

light and energy are not interchangeable, but if a singularity were to blast outward, the resulting energy could indeed have manifested in the form of photons (light).
