Have no idea whom does it more....
I am a card carrying donor....as a Christian, I personally believe that once we die our spirit is no longer in the body, so, why not let others have what I no longer "need" (lol)
I guess I would say it doesn't matter what people call themselves, it is rather a question of what type of person they are...how caring of others they are...
However, it is a personal choice to be made, and, if a person knows that there are health issues, then they probably assume they shouldn't raise any hopes of organ harvest by anyone after he/she dies.
*note to glitter....HEY! I have blue-grey eyes too, lol, and have been told they are "beautiful".....LOLOLOL
"each to his own", right? (LOL)

A.) Yes I am an organ donor.
B.) I am Atheist.
I am glad you asked this question. When I answered your last question about organ donors, I was very curious to know if there was a trend among organ donors and non-organ donors regarding their religious beliefs.

Donor, atheist.
I'm a sort of selfish donor though. They can have all my organs, but I refuse to give up my eyes. It's a gut feeling, I've seen everything I saw with my eyes.
I don't know why, I know it doesn't make any sense, but I simply want to keep my eyes after I die.
Glitterkitty: tsk! Nobody cares about the vision of your eyes, but how beautiful they are! :p

May not be able to donate because of chemo and immunosuppressant therapy. We won't know this until after my death.

a) Yes.
b) Evangelical, non-denominational Christian.
Although I've been a donor for years, I was the recipient of a tissue donation in 1998. It just reinforces my conclusion that this is a wonderful program.

Markyyy, that's funny...I have crap vision. I told them to take the eyes but only give them to someone who is really really desperate because my eyes suck! lol
Added: They're "german blue" which is a really nice way of saying ugly grayish blue!
Forever: Yeah, my husband says they're beautiful too, but I think he's just being nice. lol
