The Catholic church has a vast army of priests and nuns all over the world.I wish to meet someone who has genuine Christ-like qualities in them whom I can make my guru in the traditional Indian style. If you know some such priest or nun can you pass on the details, please?

The phrase " make my guru"appears to be presumptous. What I meant was I would request humbly that holy person to accept me as a disciple.

Sounds like you are seeking a Spiritual Director.
Your Diocese should have a list of qualified Spiritual Directors. Ask your pastor who to call.
You should meet with a few to look for one who will suit your spiritual style. Meetings with SDs are about every 6 weeks.

The Catholic Church does not really do the guru thing but we do have spiritual directors.
Just drop by any Catholic Church and talk to a priest about a referral to a spiritual director.
With love in Christ.

Not sure if you're serious on this or not ... the "vast army" and "traditional Indian style" suggests to me that you're not very familiar with either Catholicism or Hinduism (from whence gurus tend to emerge).
A person with Christ-like qualities probably won't spend much time on-line, here, where ego and the need to be correct trump most persuasions. However, if you were to go on mission, say into the inner cities, the hospitals for the poor, etc., you may very well find Christ there.
Good luck in your journey

The Catholic Church doesn't have gurus. It has some very holy and very profound teachers, but they are disciples of out founder, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Individual Catholics do not have disciples. They are disciples.

I've met some nuns that were pretty nice - my daughter went to catholic school for two years (despite us not being catholic - it was just the best private school that we could afford, since the school district we were in was pathetic).
I can't imagine devoting my whole life to something like that, even if I actually believed in any of it.

The closest you may come is perusing all the writings of such people and learning from what they have to say. Plenty of stuff out there on the shelves and on the internet.

Read the commentary on Upanishads (just one chapter) in book Indian Philosophy Volume 1 (S. Radhakrishnan). You will stop searching for gurus, and will be able to find your way out.

Friend,
They have led riots against those that don't accept Catholism.
I'm talking in the present era.
Not something that happened in the Middle Ages.
Do you really want to 'guru' one?
