My dog had been sick with a sinis infection and is on anti-biotics, but he had not thrown up since we got him (2 months ago).
But he just threw up yellow bile. It had rock like chunks in it (not to get too graphic). is this normal? help!

(he is also moping around and kind of cuddling up to me)

Something is stuck in their. If it was foamy looking and real slimy then hes trying to get something out of there. Like a rawhide or a rock. Just keep an eye on him. It should come up soon. If he wasnt trying to throw it up, thats when I would worry.

What do you mean .. is throwing up rocks like chunks normal?? No, it's not..Unless it's undigested food, then it's likely something that shouldn't be in there.
Yellow bile is stomach acids.. It's probably because of the antibiotics.. That's why when you give a dog antibiotics.. you should wait a couple of hours and then give them some yogurt to help rebuild the good bacteria in the stomach.

He likely has an ulcer.. See the vet.

That could be part of the chunk part but I would confer with the vet and see if it is ok to let it run its course. It sounds like he is throwing up bile because there is nothing left in his stomach. Dogs are a lot like humans. we get sick throw up what made us sick, sometimes throw up bile, then have dry heaves.our bodies get rid of anything that is foriegn to it and so does a dog. I would still check with your vet. Do it by phone if he will take calls and it will not cost anything or call a humane society and matbe they can direct you a little beter.

It is no more normal for a dog to throw up than for a person to throw up. He is sick. A sinus infection can make him sick at his stomach, but if he's already on medication for it, it may be the medications. He may not be able to tolerate the antibiotic, or he may not be responding to them and may need a change. I'm not sure what the chunks are, but it doesn't matter. Keep him hydrated and call the vet.

I would take him to the vet just to be safe. It could be something more serious than just a sinus infection. I'm not so concerned about the throwing up of the bile, but the chunky stuff worries me. Call or make him an appointment!!! I hope you doggy feels better soon!!

I not sure as I not there to see. It sounds like he may have eaten a bone. With an upset stomach they will throw up what you say and it usually white rock looking stuff.
You could get it in a paper towel to show to the Vet. All I know.

I think it's ok but I would call the vet and ask them. If he's on antibiotics and he's starting to vomit, they might have to change his meds. The yellow bile indicates an infection. His cuddling means he's feeling bad and is afraid you are mad at him for vomiting. Call the vet and give him tlc.

Has it been eating grass ? the rocks are probally food. Dogs sometimes eat bees and things this time of year, could be that. Just put pleanty fresh water down and dont feed till morning, bet hes alot better.

I think that maybe you should just watch your dog. If it keeps on happening, maybe you should take him to a vet. It's possible that the chunks were just unchewed, or undigested food. Maybe his food just didn't agree with him right. Just keep an eye on him.
