Does it make a difference what race a girl is?
I'm asian and I'm attracted to hispanic, black and white guys. Some of my friends are surprised at my taste and don't understand why I'm not into dating asian guys.
At work, a few guys (they were hispanic, white and black) revealed to me weeks or months after we met that they liked me, thought I was cute the first time they saw me and asked me out, I politely declined. By the way, for the first few months, they rarely spoke to me, just greeted. Then there's this guy who didn't tell me he thought I was cute until after I told him he was cute first. Like those other guys, he also said that he liked me the first time he saw me. He introduced himself to me at work a few months after he got hired. Then I asked him why he didn't make a move and he said that he didn't think I liked him and thought that I wasn't single. So the point is, these guys didn't approach me right when they wanted to.

My question is, does my race have little to do with the fact that some guys aren't approaching me? That idea never occured to me until one of my non asian friends said he gives credit for his non asian for asking out an asian girl 'cause that's something he thinks he can't ever do. Are there guys who actually find it more difficult to approach asian girls than girls of another race?
At work, I'm generally shy and pretty quiet, but I try to appear friendly and approachable by smiling and greeting a lot.

It basically boils down to each individual man's tastes. For some men it doesn't matter what color your skin is. Some guys like Asian ladies like yourself. Other men may not be open to dating outside their races for a variety of reasons (racism, family pressures, etc).
The reason why a lot of guys are hesitant to approach you or any woman for that matter is that many are shy or can't handle rejections. Another reason could be that you are giving off an air of inapproachability.

asian people (no offense) tend to stick to there own
i have been trying to date an asian chick
they tend to stick to asian, i have about 4 asian girls who date outside there race (im not attracted to them) but 4 out of like 50 girls (asian)
i guess thats why and if u cute and pretty first thing a person is going to assume is that u r taken

i have never had the opportunity to date a lady of another race --- saying that its has just been unfortunate rather than a deliberate choice --- i dont see i race i just see the person and i suppose i will always to a degree be a little sorry i never had the opportunity --- so yes i would date an asian lady ---- best wishes

If a female has a pulse, she is a males type, see...Its like this;
If a female enters a bar, she is usually outnumbered 2 or even 3 to 1. That is one of the reasons, a female can pick and choose, but very very rare to be vise verse. A female does not look for a sex partner, she looks for a soul mate. Most females can have what ever they want, males....They wish!!!

no that is not it that happens all the time when i went to this place called the mud run i didnt talk to alot of people because i thought they where taken then i finally talked to a few and found out some where single it is not the race it is just the fact us guys are shy to

Asian chicks are so fine. Asian girls is a fetish that ALL men share. You will have absolutely NO problem getting what you want. Just try to be a little more extroverted, it will go a long way. Make it clear that you're not taken...

not really i think asian girls are so f n hot. i was just in niagra falls for the weekend and my oh my the asians were all over.. but as for a race for me to date no not at all.. just has to be a attraction. btw im white

No I believe that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Some may have a problem with it but me myself does not.

korean, chinese philipino, etc
it was probably becuase you where cute
that he was scared to ask you
some ppl have low selfesteem
