So, this Forrest dude falls head over heels for this Jenny chick when they were children. That's cool and all, but what makes her think she can grow up, travel the world, basically bang the entire world, snort everything that she can't smoke, and then come home to Forrest only after she had run out of options?

Forrest's love for Jenny never, ever wavered over the years. He never stopped thinking about her. Jenny never paid Forrest a second thought until she knew that she was against a wall? That's pretty self-absorbed, is it not?

He did almost everything right for her, and she crapped all over him time and time again.

This has bothered me for years. Your thoughts on this crucial issue?

Ah...the Gospel of Forrest. It has confounded scholars for quite some time.

It is true that Forrest loved Jenny. Jenny loved Forrest back. However, Jenny was thoroughly messed up from years of abuse at the hands of her father. She snorted and slept around to handle the pain of her childhood. In the end, she died because of her lifestyle, so the poor girl suffered enough. She wasn't prepared to handle the magnitude of Forrest' love because she'd never experienced anything like it before and she thought she was unworthy. She thought Forrest was too good for her, so she ran away from him.

She did, however, give Forrest a seat on the bus, loyal friendship during childhood, his first sexual experience, and a son in his name. Wasn't that something?

Forrest Gump is one of my favorite movies. My sisters thinks I'm out of my mind for liking this movie. However, the dumber Forrest get, the more the movie fascinates me! Anyway, I never understood Jenny's character in this movie, however I pitied her. Think about it, the girl had a junk father who would beat her 24/7. Her mother died, so she was pretty much on her own, she was constantly raped. So to make this short, no matter how much Jenny mistreated Forest, he loved her all the more. So bro instead of asking around about this, you should ask Forrest why he allows Jenny to mistreat him!

Forrest is a perfect example of someone who has a pure, forgiving heart. There's nothing within him except for love and a genuine desire to help others. He's self-suffering, but he never complains, never has an unkind word. His purpose in life is to lift others up, even when he himself may be down. He's a humble man, and he did the right thing by loving Jenny.

Well you have to remember she had sex with him. Without her he probably would have never gotten any.

Yeah I wasn't too fond of her character but then again she was a sexually abused child. There was no mental help for her and she had to deal with it the only way she knew how.

Forrest on the other hand was raised by a loving mother. He only knew how to love and no use people.

Jenny was Forrest's love. He didnt care how bad she treated him. He would always accept her. I have a man similar(except he is not slow) but he will only put up with so much. I know he puts up with me alot. He loves me though.

Hell yeah. I mean the guy wasn't exactly loaded down with available chicks blazing a path to his door, but he probably could have at least found a girlfriend who'd respect him a little more.

You cannot seriously believe he was mentally handicapped enough to not understand what sex is. Give the guy more credit! He was fit enough to fight in the war and drive a boat!
