I'm sure they could convince SOMEone that there is evidence that supports this claim. Evidence is ever-present.

Actually evolution does apply to technology in a sense. The Mazda and Ford are not ancestors though. You should think of it cladistically like evolution does.
They both evolved from a common ancestor, the horseless carriage, which evolved by natural selection out of horse carriages.
In each succeeding generation over time there were small evolutionary changes made.
Many of these mutations were not beneficial and those species of cars went extinct.
We can differentiate between the species of cars because they are unable to mate. You can not cross a fully mature Ford with a fully mature Mazda and get another car.
(Fully mature cars gather in wrecking yards, back alleys and behind barns)
But because the genetic material of Fords are so similar a fully matured ford can be combined with another Ford and the result is another car on the road. It is called repair.

No!
Your Mazda is just of a different sect from the Ford. Although they both had the same creator there views on how to worship that creator forced a Schism early on at the factory so some wore Ford badges and worshiped Henry and the others went down a Zen Buddhist path!

I used to sell Mazdas and the reason behing this phenomena is that fact the Ford Motor Compant owns Mazda. Therefore they have the same design team. There are some minute differences between them, but for the most part there are blaring similarities between the two product lines.

No, but Mazdas are descended, technologically, from Ford concepts. If dumb humans can modify existing concepts in so short a time, it's amazing to think what nature could do in millenia.

I think you should examine the reproductive systems of your Mazda. See if it has the ability to reproduce sexually with chromosome mutations and genetic variations. Then, you know, you can stop with all these silly arguments in the wrong section. Put it in the science section.

Actually, Mazda is made by Ford. That's why it's so similar, smart ***.

It's more like convergent evolution -- environmental forces (i.e.; what customers want) puts pressure on the design teams for the car companies; traits that improve the car's marketability are passed on to future models of cars (of whatever brand), and traits that decrease marketability get weeded out.
