I want one for under 200 bucks. I am going to use it to bike to work. I live in a downtown area and work is around 2-3 miles away.

Just make sure you get it from a good shop and that it is fitted for you!!!

Dahon makes some of the most reputable folding bikes in mountain, commuter and road styles.

Montague makes military-issue folding bikes which are not bad either.

Good luck!

it depends on whether or not you really need a folding bike... are you keeping it in the trunk of your car or somewhere really small? if not, then a folding bike is not necessary.
I keep mine in the trunk of my car so I always have it with me, but I usually ride a road bike.

a good folding bike (KHS has a good one) that retails for around 300 bucks. just like any other bike, you get what you pay for. since you are only planning to bike 2 to 3 miles each way, maybe a simple single speed or a communter bike will do well for you, as long as you have a place to lock it with a decent lock. Check out the Specialized lines.
