how are elemantry schools accredited, and how do you know that they are good?

I am a first time mom of a 21/2 yr old that is looking for a good school to put her little girl in the Dallas area. Where do i look for stats on schools? And what does all the info mean?

I really not sure. What I would do is first find what is within the driving range you want. Then I would talk with some of the parents. True, many are there because they feel it a good school. But, some may express a few complaints and some may even say, they waiting to get into a different school for various reasons. Then you need to evaluate the input you receive and make an informed decision from what you have heard.
