I think both your children will be just fine and in a few short years, hopefully they will be the best of friends!
My two oldest are 10 months apart and are just inseperable. My son is 16 months younger then my 2nd child and just turned 1. He too is now enjoying playing with the girls.

Of course your baby will be in good condition, why shouldnt she be. Ive known people have them 9 months apart, not a problem, dont worry.

yes my wife had my boys i yr apart and they came out healthy.
so don't worry thats just an old wifes tale.
