AHAAA Gotcha!
How many times here on R&S we read questions like:"If mankind evolved from monkeys than howcome monkeys are still around?" Many, many people are more than ready to post an angry or sarcastic very often offensive response. Well has it ever occured to you that the person asking the question knows nothing about evolution. For this person that (and other "silly evolution questions") are serious questions, simply because nobody explained it correctly to them before. Have you ever awnsered patiently, explaining and showing the person making the question why it basicly makes no sense or is not an accurate critic (depending on the question)?? Well if we did this would be a good first step into educating people.
Very, very often there are silly (really silly) questions concerning faith, and sometimes i do awnser than as accuratly as i can despite of the asker's willingless to acualy know the awnser instead of just blindly criticising.... well, sometimes...

Fellow christians: I understand you deny the evolution theory, still it is important that you understand that the question i've posted (and many, many othgers) are not valid argument for your refusal

AAAgh,you DID get me!!I don't drink, but I was about to start!I have patiently explained more times than I can count,on this and many other forums. I have come to the conclusion that those who post such questions really aren't looking for an answer, they are presenting their "proof" that evolution is false with what they think is a "stumper" question, when in fact,it is no stumper at all.I,in turn, have asked what I consider benign question of Christians, and while there are many reasonable ones out there who give me a thought out answer, invariably, one or more come on just to spew hate, when the only "wrong" answer is NO answer. To be fair, there are hateful atheists as well, with their ridiculous questions like "could god make a ____ so big he couldn't suck it?"or "what is the best way to vandalize a church"There are simply haters on all sides, and I probably should do more to try to recognize who posts what question,I usually only focus on the question itself. I have come to realize though, that one cannot generalize any group. There are jerk-off Christians,Muslims, and atheists here. There are some decent people of all beliefs also

It is not a strawman fallacy for creationists to say we "came from monkeys". Creationists recognise the evolutionary view that humans and apes share a common ancestor - we just don't believe that it is true. Also, the argument that if we evolved why are there really apes is not valid at all. The reason for this is that IF evolution did occur, there would be apes and humans today as we both descended from the same form (which is probably extinct). Yet this is not a key creationist argument (actually it is not a creationist argument at all) so the fact that it is a false argument is irrelevant. You are right - it is really semantics and doesn't really get to the real points: 1. Have any transitional forms been found (between humans and any existing or extinct form of ape)? The answer is no? 2. Can mutations and natural selection really produce increased complexity, and has it ever been observed. The answer is no (any supposed examples are not examples of new information but of sorting or loss of existing information).

I agree!! We did have a common ancestor. Although some scientist disagree on who exactly that ancestor is. Further reason people foster this disbelief. I think another problem with this question for most people. Is the fact science keeps disproving it self. As far as the many dead-ends in the evolutionary process. That were once believed to be links. Then you have the missing links or gaps in the evolutionary process. The fact scientist cannot find DNA linking us to some of the so-called common ancestors. Mass media always prints when science gets it wrong(front page). The hoaxes threw out evolutionary history(piltdown man). The fact there are still areas of the theory that have not been proven or resolved by science. The fact we still call it a theory and is taught that way. Until it is fully proven or a better theory come along. I like to think of it as others have put it(the great chain of being). From bacteria to the eventual existence of all life. Not just man and his ape like common ancestor. The warping of evolution by the evolutionary ladder(non-scientific). The fact Darwin belief in common descent, not the so called evolutionary ladder. This was a concept that was pre-Darwinian scala naturae founded by Aristotle. Which is a prime example of one scientist contradicting the othere in some peoples minds. I believe Darwin got it mostly right. Of course as science gets better their will be modifications to the Origin of Species and the theory of Evolution and Natural Selection. That does not mean it was wrong. Just the best extrapulated theory with the best evidence at the time.

I appreciate your appeal to sweet reason, but consider:
o Those who ask such questions are not seeking an answer as a rule. They believe, in their ignorance, that they are striking at a weak point in evolution - and that's their aim.
o If they are calmly and respectfully answered, what chance is there that the information will stick, and that the questioner will go away enlightened? I've seen no sign of it here. At best, they go away frustrated that their 'clever argument' has not struck home.
o The attitude of the anti-evolution crowd here is certainly not one of sincere search for knowledge. Indeed they seem unaware even of how little they know about the subject. Can you imagine how frustrating this is?
o As a forum designed for honest answers to sincere questions, Y!A is ill-suited for defending knowledge from attack - and this is what such questions are. And having to deal with moronic onslaughts like this, where the questioner is hostile to the real answer, is just not possible.
o Nor is ignoring such question, which will simply confirm to the moron that their attack is valid.
The only unavailable response is a rude or at least dismissive one. Asking for equanimity in such circumstances is really asking too much.

The two groups of monkeys separated 5 million years ago. This happened because there was an earth's core catalysmic event that pushed up the plains of eastern africa as high as 10, 000 feet through series of volcanic eruptions from north to south in almost 10,000 kms long. Thus, before this event, the rains were carried from west to east covering the northern and central africa with thick canopied forest. However, when these series of volcanic eruptions occurred the high rock mountains made the tropical wind from the west bounced back to the west. It left therefore, the north-eastern side of africa dried for millions of years. Then the forest disappeared and the monkeys trapped in the eastern side tended to walk towards the sun -eastward away from the forested central africa. Those monkeys left behind in the thick forest continued to climb trees and since none was changed in their habitats they did not had any evolution as a change. However, the monkeys on the eastern side of the ethiopia inhabiting the savannahs with envronmental changes like the absence of trees, and various predators and no more fruits to eat but to survive under this new environment made the evolution to these group of monkeys to apeman and to man which is the evolution seen by Daniel (7:4). Thus, evolution is merely the instrument of GOD to implement HIS will. In fact, these stages of evolution were actually seen by the Prophet Daniel (7:4) happened So evolution is not the private domain of science which was espoused by Charles Darwin. Evolution is part of the creations of GOD and is part of the Bible yet was unseen by blind men. And today their eyes are made opened. Thanks to GOD.

Because the evolution story it's plain and simple a "theory", there is no "missing link" to prove it, no one has ever found it. Regarding the "common ancestor", read carefully about how many species are related to other species that are not physically alike in any way. Perhaps we are "genetically" related to monkeys, but for those who swear over such "theroy": show me the missing link!
(BTW, I'm not a "religious scriptures of any kind" follower)

First, I assuming that you are somewhat intelligent. If that is not the case please except my apology.
How is it that the "monkey theory" became something that people just say? What do you think the theory of evolution was all about until about 1975? Where did the "monkey" thing come from? Evolutionists.
Once it was figured out to be one of the dumbest stories ever told, then they began the "common ancestor" story.
What was the "Scopes Monkey Trial" about? A teacher that wanted to teach the theory of evolution that said we came from monkeys.
It would be nice if people who believe in evolution would at least except their own mistakes.

Because we don't come from monkeys, nor did we evolve from the same ancestor. What I don't understand is why people can't think that maybe God made a creature, saw that it was a good method, and used it for the rest. I think that the fact that we have similar bone structure only proves that God knew what He was doing and repeated the method in every creature, because it worked.

Most of the silly questions are asked by people who just want to "stir things up" They get a lot a pleasure from seeing those who are "young" in their spiritual growth, jump on them and want to slug it out. Then after that silly question, they ask another and another ad-nauseum. But the up side of it all is that a lot of good information gets out there for people who need it. Thanks for your question, I appreciate you calling this to the attention of the "evolutionists"

You have a good point. It is difficult to not be frustrated by such questions. I usually go into the person's profile to see if they indeed are genuine in their lack of knowledge or if they are just trying to troll for responses.
I guess we all have those "certain questions" that trigger a nasty response.
