i had my belly button pierced 8 months ago, and maybe because i changed it, my body rejected it and only a thin strip of skin could cover it. and the area around the piercing is hard. i finally took out the piercing and it closed within a day, but its still red and hard around the area. what should i do?

Don't worry about it. My ex had hers pierced and her body rejected it also. If you get maxoderm and use that like 3 times a day, the hard area will callus up and fall off. The redness goes away by it self. I will take about 6 months. Maxoderm is for scar dulling and for major skin issues. Try it out it might help.

Good Luck

I would suggest you see a doctor and seek medical advise.
Right now keep the area clean and expose if there isn't any pus or blood from the affected site.
Do not apply any oilment or powder or whatever creams because it might irritant the area and further infection might take place.

I think it will be hard and sore for a while. i have a friend that just got hers redone and she said that she could not put a new ring in it for a long time, she keeps it cleaned and moving it back and forth.
