a swimming party. you could do a p.j. party just make sure that everyone wears something descent.

Passion Party if it's just you & the girls... if there's guys, u could do a beach bash.
have hula girl & surfer dude costume with prizes for the best of each.
put various drinks- either bottles of tropical punches, water, or wine coolers, etc. in a kiddie blow-up pool full of ice. could also put some inflatable palm trees in it so as the ice melts, u have little islands bobbing around the bottles.
limbo is a must! have girls against boys with a prize.
musical beach towels, where u play hawaiian/beach boys music. one less towel than players. process of elimination...
sliced tropical fruits for refreshments. melon balls of various kinds. tropical print table cloths, wooden platters/bowls for the fruits, fake flowers and palm frauns, bamboo placemats under the bowls & party plates...
last year i did this without the alcohol. kids and adults had a blast.

Go retro.
Plan a nostalgia party, you pick the years. Appropriate dress of the period could be required for attending (prizes for clothing categories). Select background music to fit, add snacks, drinks, and games... wa-la... A good time was had by all.

Have all the guys dress up like girls and all the girls dress up like guys. Buy lots of alcohol and go on a scavenger hunt throughout the city! When you all come back, go skinny dipping!

karaoke and/or dance party?:) or something like red carpet etc. you can even have people act as paparazzi. invitations or souvenirs/give-aways could be in the shape of Hollywood stars with their names written on it
