If you really want to try something that is not only good for you, but you will enjoy eating the food you should read the following. About 6 months ago a friend of mine turned me on to this diet. When I first heard the name of it, I thought she was crazy. The diet is called The Asian Noodle Diet. I gave it a shot and lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks and the food was really good. The website http://www.asiannoodlediet.com has all the info as well as a diet plan and receips. I recommend you try this before anything else.

Exercise Videos (VHS or DVD), exercise equipment, and maintaining a healthy diet regimen are definitely the best super duper ways to lose weight at home.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Invest in a stairclimber first. It will punish your legs into fitness, grow muscles which will in turn eat fat cells. It also gives some aerobic benefit as well.
