B) Attending a small church

While going to a "mega-church" must be an adrenaline rush due to all those thousands of people, I don't go to Church for an adrenaline rush. I go to feel the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is best felt in quiet, peaceful environments -- not in a crowd of thousands yelling "hallelujah!" The scriptures tell us that the Spirit speaks with a still, small voice.
Also, I like the personal attention that comes when you can have direct contact with your bishop/pastor/priest, who knows you well and can help you in your personal life. If you are one of 10,000 members of your congregation, I would be surprised if you ever got to shake your church leaders hand. I prefer to be part of a smaller, tighter, close-knit family of church members.
That's my opinion.

I think my answer would have to be more middle of the road. Our congregation is about 2000 people, but at any one service there are only 500 or so. I love it because it's small enough that I know lots of the faces and many names, but large enough that there is that sense of community. With this size of church we also have an incredible children and youth program that may not exist in a smaller congregation.

When I lived in Southern CA we attented a church that was rather large. I loved the teaching, but as far as the people, it was difficult to know many. Most simply walked to their car after service and I never got to know them. Now, we are attending a smaller church. The teaching is still great but the fellowship is also there. People actually address me by name and pray for me and with me. So I like that. After all, we are to fellowship with one another, not just run to church and home.

Both are appealing. Usually large churches offer a lot more "extra curricular" than the smaller ones. But in a smaller church you can have a relationship with the pastor, and not just one of the many associate pastors. I personally live in a rural community so I don't really have a choice....But as long as you can feel the spirit of God in the place...then the rest is gravy. God bless you.,

What matters more is what is being taught. Although attending a mega-church can be exciting, (much like attending a concert can be), excitement is not the issue. The doctrine is. I would attend a church that teaches people to love God, obey His Word, and love people.

I don’t particularly care for mega churches, but if these were my only two options I’d base it on the teachings inside the church, not the size of the church.

B.
Unfortunately, some "pastors" at mega churches only preach what people want to hear. They do not present the gospel according to the scriptures. Once you get that money coming in, you have to keep it coming in, even if that means going against the teachings of Christ.

i haven't attended a Church in numerous years for somewhat this reason. no longer precisely the comparable subject, yet close. residing in the south, maximum different Christians do in contrast to my own religious perspectives. And, I share my ideals to no longer demean theirs yet to easily share concepts. human beings have stated that I only flow to church and save my mouth close on my own ideals on the subject of the Bible etc, yet i think if a Church can't a minimum of be tolerant of my ideals, then why might desire to I even attend? How are they of the Lord whilst they are so outright judgmental and closed-minded? So, i haven't been to church in years, and that i've got considered given a pair different church homes a shot, even even though it truly is hard for me to realize this. although I even have enjoyed examining the Bible on my own and coming to a extra clever information of God, I nevertheless experience extremely unfulfilled. until now I die at some point, i might desire to discover a church the place i'm popular, whether my concepts and ideology are not, and be Baptised of my own unfastened-will. the two way, I worry that i'll might desire to finally end up paying lip-provider to a church i do no longer somewhat have faith in to get Baptised. yet, if it truly is centred on the Lord, then consistent with hazard I might desire to easily suck it up. So, to respond to your question. . . i assume i can't. i think of we the two want an answer for this situation. All we are in a position to do is pray and have confidence the Lord to show us the way. Take care and God bless :)
