My family owns a barn and we have quite a few horses, so yes I have gone horseback riding several times. It is fun, unless you haven't done it in a long time, then it can be sore. I suppose it wouldn't be fun if you're someone that is scared of horses though.

It is a lot of fun, but it depends on your experience level, where it is and whether you can do your own thing or be stuck following a guide. My favorite horseback ride was on a beach in oregon and was allowed to run them in the surf etc.

It's a lot of fun...but it also depends on personal interests and the horse you get. Most places will try to match you with a horse that fits your experience. If you have never ridden in your life, then let the instructors or leaders know. You will definately be sore the next few days however. Soaking in hot baths helps. It uses a lot of muscles you forget ever existed until now.

My daddy put me on a horse before I could walk. I have ridden almost every thing with hair on it's back. I have fell off, been thrown off and run under a tree and drag off but I always got back up and got back on. Every one should go horseback ridden at least once. For some it will be their last ride and for some of us,we never get over it.

Horse back riding is an absolute blast! You'll need to get some basic instruction before mounting the beast so that you'll know how to do it. It's not difficult, it's just different from how you start a car.
